Code p0325

P0325 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction
A knock sensor tells the engine computer when one or more of your engine's cylinders are "knocking", that is, exploding the air/fuel mixture in a way that delivers less power and can be damaging to the engine if prolonged.
The computer uses this information to tune the engine so that it doesn't knock. If your knock sensor wasn't operating properly, so that it was always indicating a knock, the engine computer's response may have been to change the ignition timing on your engine. Knock sensors generally bolt into or thread into the engine block. This P0325 code may show up intermittently or the Service Engine light may be lit constantly. Other knock sensor related DTC codes include P0330.
Symptoms You may notice drivability problems including a lack of power and perhaps some hesitation. There may also be other symptoms.
Causes A code P0325 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
  • The knock sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced
  • There is a wiring short/fault in the knock sensor circuit

I hear a knocking sound when ever I start my engine

check oil level if low add oil ---if oil milky in color like chocolate milk possible internal damage from --blown head gasket-damaged head --the knock from engine usually means that damage to a piston rod has occurred [rod knock] and knock usually doesnt throw an engine code and usually fatal to engine will need a mechanic to diagnose how bad or what extent the noise is with engine

My colbalt 2006 knocking when step on gas check engine lite on code read knock sensor could that be the noise just had oil change and new exhaust put on

Yes, faulty knock sensor can allow engine timing to be too far advanced which can cause MAJOR damage very quickly. Cheap and should be easy fix -- get it done!

Engine knocking i put oil in it will it be fixed

If the level of oil is good and the engine is knocking, this will not help. The engine is getting old.
You need to see your garage but the repair will be costly.
Just use it as long as it continues working then find a second hand engine to replace.

My engine started knocking after low oil pressure

These truck's are bad about oil pump's, I would replace the oil pump, and hope for the best, if the knocking goes away, then it's fix, but if you still have the knocking, the only fix is an engine overhaul, or a good used engine.

2002 chevrolet z71 1500 engine cold knock maybe piston what is the cure ?

Yes, this is usually loose pistons. Boring the engine and replacing pistons would fix it. But, this won't hurt anything and lots of vehicles do it. Unless it really bothers you, I wouldn't even fix it. As long as the knock goes away after the engine warms up a little. Do you have any other problems could lead you to a different solution? Like check engine light or low oil pressure when cold?

Nissan xterra knock sensor

It's the valley of the engine underneath the intake manifold. It's about an $800 job because the top of the engine has to come off. However, unless you have a supercharged xterra it shouldn't effect performance. Also, the knock sensor will not trip the check engine light, as it does not indicate a primary problem, so if your light is on you should have another code that should be fixed first.
