Question about 1987 Ford Bronco II
I have a problem getting my boat to tow.i can't even get it out of my drive way. under normal driving conditions it does find. it is a 4x4/ 5 speed trans/2.9. now if i get down on it motor's rpms are high but truck is now going as fast as the motor sounds like it should. a friend told me that it was the nature of the truck. it was not made to tow. i need a correct answer. leave as is or put in new clutch? has a seal leak at rear main. gear ratio wrong. educate me. rick
Dont use the 4x4 you probly have it in granny and the engine will sound like that. If not put emergency brake on hold foot on pedal give gas and let clutch out slow. If engine does not shut down/stall your clutch is slipping.

Try having clutch adjusted first, then you will know if clutch has been slipping.
Let me know if this helps. MMP
