How do I fix the fuel gauge on a 2001 Lincoln Navigator truck?

How do you know it is the fuel gauge? it could be the fuel level inside the fuel tank. Please give more information. You are not getting a reading? drop tank and the fuel lever is located ontop of the tank. put an ohm meter across the wires to see if the fuel lever is working. take the fuel lever out of the tank and inspect. Be carefull not to smoke or create a spark while working on the gas tank.

My fuel gauge stopped working

Hi, probably your gas tank float doesn't work. According to me cause of the problem , some metal parts of gas tank float mechanism is stuck or the gas tank float is dislocated.

My gas gauge on my 1996 Chrysler Cirrus will not move past the half full line, so I never know how much gas is in my car... How do I fix this?

inside your fuel tank, there is lever that raises/lowers depending upon the fuel in your tank. this lever is stuck. remove it and clean it (remove all the dirt and rust), if this does not work, replace this part.

My Volvo S70 has a gas tank lid that locks when closed. There is a release on the driver's door. Yesterday when I tried to use the release on the driver's door to open the gas tank lid the gas tank lid...

HI,
Is this a lever or button you pull or push? If it's a button than it must be electric and there is likely a fuse somewehre in the link for both trunk and gas lid that may be under the dash, by the engine, or somwhere else.

If it's a lever than it's likely a cable that runs back to them...but not sure how BOTH would be 'broken'. Does the lever feel 'different' as in loose or less tension than in the past?

Gas tank door opener in Honda Odyssey 1997

If the lever itself is broken remove it it will have a cable attached to it. unhook the lever from the cable and pull the inner cord of the cable with plyer's or simular. If the lever is'nt broken it may be stressed so follow the same process. As to removing check arround the lever for screws if no screws the lever pivets on a pin gently tap out the pin with a small punch and hammer if you havent got a suitable punch then file or cut the point of a small nail.

The lever won't open my gas tank. What can i do?

read the manual. There should be a cable in the trunk you pull as a manual release. If not pull the trunk lining fabric back away from the fuel fill area. You should see how to manually open the gas filler door

Gas tank cover won't open

Stick something (like your wallet) under the lever then go to the gascap lid and open it with your fingers. Chances are the popper spring is stuck or has broken.
If you have a second pair of hands available - have them hold the lever for you.

Gas Gauge Inaccurate

Sounds like the 'float' is stuck. This is a small lever in the top of your fuel tank that rests on top of the fuel. When the fuel level drops, so does the 'float' and then it sends a different voltage to the guage, which in turn shows less fuel. It's an easy repair, but requires dropping the fuel tank to get at it. If your not experienced with this procedure, most any repair shop can do it. Try to run out most of your gas first, though, so that you don't 'lose' it at the garage! Good luck. Let me know if you need directions to do it yourself.
