The belt is not installed correctly. When you removed the old one, one or both of the cams jumped from valve spring pressure and now you'll have to remove the front cover, re-time the cams to the correct position.

Starting wont start

Does it turn over really fast, like no compression, free wheeling? If so, timing belt broke. If it has a slight drag, then have the codes read. Could be crank sensor, ignition module, fuel pump.

Scenic 1.4 engine turns over very fast but sounds as if not firing but got spark +fuel its as if somethink not clicking in to fire

from your description it sounds like your timing belt. to check your can remove the cover and have someone else turn the key. if belt stays not turning, it is stripped and needs replacement.

rechk plugs firing order. chk soliniod and coil r ok, rechk fuel is getting into engine- choking usually determines that, u can smell the over choked engine. I f engine turning & choked hold throtel to floor while cranking and leave there until it fires. if no firing happends it must be electrical. rechk electrical connections. Cheers

We get fuel and fire. The car just does not start.

fuel, fire and compression are the 3 keys, does it turn over fast,(timing belt?)
Also check to make sure there is exhaust coming out the tailpipe when cranking (plugged exhaust
will also keep it from starting)

Getting fire and gas but wont start

Does it spin over very fast without much resistance? If so the timing belt is broken. Also, just because you have fuel pressure doesn't mean the injectors are firing. Use a stethoscope to listen to injectors to hear if they are clicking. Are there any codes stored? Some electronic failures will cause the injectors not to fire.
