Question about 2009 Cadillac STS

1 Answer

2008 Cadillac STS: All was fine until I went out to move the car? Neither keys would work and one key is new, less than a month old. These are keyless remotes. Nothing will turn on. The only thing that shows that the car has life are the blind side symbols in the mirrors are flashing.

Sounds like a loose connection on the battery. Clean and tighten them, and check the battery ground. Is the starter cable on tight? If still nothing, a shop needs to check the ignition switch for a defect.

When I turn the key on my car the radio and inside lights come on

I had the same problem for about five months, sometimes the car started for two months than all of a sudden it make take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour to get it to turn over. Final analysis (when it finally would not start for two days) a new starter was needed. (2001 Cadillac STS)
