Turn your air conditioner OFF and turn your heater ON. Air conditioners were designed to blow out one temperature of air... COLD.

2000 mercury villager is running hot ,the other day it blew of the top hose from the radiator so I put it back on and filled it back up with fluid ,parked it on a hill and made sure no air was in it and it...

your thermostat is stuck in the closed position, replace it, anytime a hose blows off, this is usually the case, remember when replacing it that the spring part of it goes towards the motor

Van is smoking, running hot, drives very slow up hills

I would check the thermometer in the front of the block. It is the regulator for the temperature of the antifreeze that gets shot into the block itself. With older vehicles and this time of year many people will be having these radiator/thermometer problems.

1999 Villager: My 1999 mercury villager ac works in the front but...

you could just be low on freon. Add 1 can & see what happens.
Usually the rear works but not the front. I'm assuming the blower works back there.

It could also be the rear control for hot/cold. You can get an assembly at slavage yard for $10.

i have an extra if you find that is the failure.

My 1999 mercury villager heater is not blowing hot air

you have air trapped in the heater cores, front and back. You need to burp system or take to a shop and have them flush cooling system and use their vacuum system to purge the air. Should cost $60. Make sure they have vacuum system.

Or go to our site and read file on how to burp air from cooling system.

No heat in my villager

you have air trapped in the engine. very common. park van uphill, fill radiator & reservoir, turn on heater, leave cap loose. wait for engine to warm up to burp air.
