Replace mac 610 chain

You need to make sure the chain brake is off, pull the hand guard firmly back to the top handle, once off there should be nothing else holding the cover on, so it is just a case of pulling it off.

I need to adjust the cam chain tension on a 1980 honda cx 500 custom. Where is it located and how do i do it? Do you have any pics that can be attached?

Take off the tappet hole inspection cover behind the cylinder on top of the engine case. Remove the tappet hole inspection cover underneath the radiator in the front of the motor. Put a 17 mm socket on an extension with a breaker bar in the front hole and turn the motor over manually until the top dead center (TDC) mark for the number 1 cylinder appears in the other hole.behind the right cylinder is a gold 10 mm bolt coming out of the back of the block. Loosen it one turn and re tighten it. You have just adjusted your cam chain. If you ever have to take off the rear cover to replace the water pump seal and you just happen to have a cx650 self adjusting cam chain tensioner, it will fit right in so you can forget about adjusting your cam chain ever again.

Yamaha SR 400 timing chain

Hi There honzakot
Yup, SR400 and 500 are the same engine in this respect. Seems most top end parts for the 500 fit the 400. . Check this link (yoshimura) for some supporting evidence. sr400 jumps straight to the SR500 at Bike Bandit also.

How do I change the headlight? (passenger side)

There are three screws that holds the head lamp in place, but first you have to remove the right side radiator cover, remouve the front grill (4 screws), remouve the head lamp lower trim (one screw behind the grill and cliped at the fender), then remouve the front grill mounting bracket (2 screws) then you'll finaly reach the 3 headlamp screws (2 on top and one behind the lower headlamp trim)
Good luck

How many bolts are on the outside of the crank case on a 1991 harley soft tail

Are you talking about the bolts that actually hold the right and left case halves together or some other bolts? On a stock setup, there are six double ended threaded studs with nuts and two hex head bolts.

Depending on how aggressively you ride, chains should be inspected every 500-700 miles, or roughly twice a month
