Hi Missy K, this is a even heat dryer, sounds like you are going to need the even heat board. This is not hard to install, it's under the consol on the left side. Your part number is 3976627, if you go to repairclinic.com and enter the part number it will give you a picture of it and the price. This is a classic syptom of the even heat board failure. The F-22 error indicates that the thermistor that detects the exhaust temperature has failed. (Sometimes the wiring between the thermistor and the control board will be faulty.) Sometimes the issue can be triggered by cold if the dryer is in an unconditioned space.

Unplug the dryer and access the wiring and thermistor. Check the wiring harness connections. Use a voltmeter to check the resistance across the thermistor. At normal room temperature, the resistance should be about 10,000 Ohms.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model number (including the Kenmore prefix) if you need the parts diagram or other information about the dryer.

Do you have the power turned on at the new location it should be a double pole 30 amp breaker in your panel

i don't know. it could be the heating a home fuse or your
dryer's heating element. open the dryer door. locate the dryer fuse or circuit breaker to see if it needs replacing or resetting. reset the breaker a few times or replace fuses with a good one. shut the dryer door and choose a new settings with high heat for a test. if OK, good. if no heat, it may be your heating element or something else. if not able to repair yourself, consider the age of your dryer and
cost of a replacement. if it runs OK and fails again in days
or weeks, your home wiring should be inspected. call for service right away.

I would check for power to the element and back to the source that switches the element on.

You have the right idea in the door switch as a place to start and yes it can be jumped or tested with an ohm meter which is safer. The other thing that can happen is the belt break or come off or the safety switch at the belt tensioner be open or damaged wires.

I hope this helps.

Not knowing anything about your dryer, such as model number or age and when the last time it was given a good tune up. I would say that the pulley that works as a belt tensioner needs to be replaced. My best suggestion would be to give your dryer a good tune up which includes replacing all the rollers and pulley, the belt and a good cleaning. This would probably cure your noise and it would also reduce the chance of a dryer fire.

I hope this helps

remove the back cover set it aside, you will see 2 vertical metal venting tubes. The one on the right holds the element, disconnect the two wires at the bottom that are side by side,
next remove the two hex head screws (one on each side) that holds the element in place pull down to slide it out. The new one slides right in all it takes is about 30 minutes or less

you may want to check and see if the belt that drives te drum came off or broke. if so replacing it is not to bad of a job to do. you can even google how to replace it, if thats the problem. cause it does sound like it was a mechanical problem
