well, creative zen likes avi, mpg and wmv formats

the reason that your creative zen won't read the avi is because the necessary codec is missed.

you can use iorgsoft creative zen video converter to convert the video to mp4,wmv then put them to creative zen.

if you want to put DVD onto creative Zen, fine, you can use iOrgsoft DVD to Creative Zen converter to remove the DRM(Digital Right Management) and regional restriaction from DVD, and you can also use it to convert DVD to avi, wmv or mpg for playback on creative zen.

Find a technician or electronic repair shop and let them check it for you, or try to get a new charger and test if it would work

Press the restart button on the bottom right side of the player. Then try to start it, it should work.

You'll want to look at getting XNJB for Mac. It is a cocoa graphical user interface for Mac OS X for the Creative Nomad range of portable MP3 players. I really wanted to put that more in my own words but XNJB was spot on with their definition :) Anyway, this seems like one of the only ways to make them compatible short of running bootcamp on the Mac with Windows Xp. That would be a lot of work if your only intention is to make your Zen compatible. You may want to go to this site if you have trouble getting it set up: http://www.wentnet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1163 - I hope this helps you out! As much as I love Apple products (as well as owning an Apple based business) don't let anyone tell you that 'you just need to buy an iPod'. It's refreshing to see that you're looking for solutions as opposed to breaking down and buying something unnecessarily. Please remember to vote if this helps!

I've been having the exact same problem. No matter how often I reset it it still becomes stuck on the rebuilding screen. I was thinking I may just copy all of my music onto my computer and then do a complete reset on my Zen and copy it back but I don't want to go to all that trouble if there is an easier way to fix it.

Hi there, the female connection of the jack in music player is damaged. Because if the player is come with an earphone,& after that you use the speaker Jack there , that time he damaged the music player socked internal pin for his place.
So when you try to play in earphone the jack miss that broken pin & not working. there is a little different between speaker & earphone connection, even you can't judge it by eyes & its the reason of the damaged.
Thanks & waiting for you,

In regards to your broken screen on your Zen Mozaic if it is broken the only thing you really can do is have the screen replaced. Also in most cases if the screen is broken then this usually is not covered under the warranty. So I did some looking and could not find any replacement screens for sale that you could replace it. So you might want to look into get a replacement.

New ZEN Mozaic 16GB on sale

Also you may want to look at this link to see if there is any deals on refurbished players

Hope this helps

You may be looking at the library on your computer. In Centrale with the player connected, double click on the Mosaic player icon at the bottom of the list on the left of the screen. This brings up a contents list identical to that above(which is for the PC not the player)

Activating the speakers is easy - while something is playing either yank out the headphones and it will turn on, or use the menu button and select turn on speaker.

Start in Safe Mode: hold Reset in and hold Play/Pause in, then turn on. Choosing reboot usually solves this problem.

Creative Labs... | Answered on Feb 08, 2010

Go in to Settings, Display Settings and turn up the brightness. Also consider using a lighter theme (also in Display Settings), or uploading a bright picture of your own and then setting that as wallpaper.

Creative Labs... | Answered on Feb 08, 2010

Use Safe mode to reboot - hold reset and play/pause, then turn it on (bit fiddly but persevere). Choose option 4 in the first instance - usually works

Creative Labs... | Answered on Feb 08, 2010

Use the reset button located on the left side. Worked for me!
