Hopefully one of the first four suggestions helped you. If not if you could post more detail as to what kind of noise is the machine making: a grinding noise, a squealing noise, how loud is it. descriptions such as that would be helpful in diagnosing the issue. Without a description of the noise any of those first four posts could be relevant. The easiest thing to try first would of course be a toner cartridge I have experienced them many times making noises especially if they're aftermarket cartridges. Other than that grinding noises are typically fuser related in that machine, with squealing and high pitch noises the description of the noise is very important because it could be a fuse or it could just be dirt in a gear cluster rubbing on a shaft or it could be the laser assembly. Ireally hate to post absolute diagnosis without enough detail especially when it comes to you having to spend more money. Hope this helps.

The reason you need to press the print button is because of the mismatch between the two paper sizes, this is normal. Find the manual and follow the instruction on how to change the paper size on the printer, or change the paper size in your software. Either should work. They must be the same for it to work properly.

If the feature is offered, you should be able to choose that option in the document page setup area. I know there is usually a 'mirror margin' option in page setup. Also, the printer manual might be helpful.

Try the toner cartridge first, it could be not opening properly, after that it will be the laser scanner assembly.

Try removing the cartridge and reinstalling it. Also there is a memory chip on each cartridge. Some timesI have seen them come loose.

neither! press the button to create an internal test page. If that works, it eliminates the printer.

The 2035 is a GDI or host based printer. There is no actual print processor in the printer itself, all processing is done on the PC so I do not believe that you can use Post Script Drivers.

If this a P2035 printer using a toner cart with a drum in it. The drum has been exposed to light or has a smudge on it. take the cart out and look at the drum. This is a round light blue tube located at the bottom of the cart. It is the drum because it is the only thing in the printer that will print a defect three times on the paper. You could also print about 0 black sheets of paper through the printer and it will go away. This is because the drum coating is in layers like an onion. You must get rid of the exposed layer to get to on that has not been exposed to light.

Are you using the tray 1 manual feed for the envelopes? If it was working for you before but now has trouble feeding from that tray you are probably going to need a new PU roller and sep pad. You can try and clean the roller with a lint free cloth and use isopropyl alcohol.

This usually means a paper jam. Remove and reinsert the print cartridge as well and look for any signs of paper that may be in the way of the paper path.

try changing toner cartridge. If that doesn't work then you may have a bad laser or the shutter on the laser is stuck in the closed position.
