Cons: The 12GB 901 has two 4GB and 8GB hard drives. The XP operating system is installed on the 4GB drive. As a result, as soon as Windows updates, the C: drive fills up and you get low space warnings for the C: drive, and the drive becomes sluggish.

This computer was the perfect size and weight for me. But I have reluctantly decided to return this to Costco becuase of the small 4GB C: drive filling up when windows is updated. I recommend that the operating system be put on the 8GB drive, or better yet, install a single 12GB drive.

I have just done this and USB is OK, there is a link below. http://wiki.eeeuser.com/windowsxpusb
But I assure you it is much easier to get a USB to DVD dongle attach a DVD, Using a SATA DVD, works great. set to Boot from USB-DVD and it will be simple, also download the EEEPC XP disk, it install a special XP for the EEEPC and has all drivers.
There is the torrent links for the ISO, download and burn to DVD If you already have it then it is all moot.

Hi,
You should put the installation cd directly in the netbook. Start the netbook with the cd in the dvd drive and when the message appears "Press any key to boot from cd" press enter. Then you must follow the onscreen instructions to reinstall Windows (the procedure differs for each operating system).

Hi,

The only other way to reinstall the operating system with the support of an external drive is to use a USB drive to install from.

Click on the link that I have provided below. It tells you how to configure a USB drive to install Windows from>>>>>>>>

Hi there.
Yes you can have the screen replaced and you can do it yourself, however i would recommend that you send it for repair as these Eee PC's are difficult to disassemble and you have to know what your doing.

If you have any of the manufacturers warranty left on the netbook take advantage of that and send it to Asus for repair.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

check using the onscreen keyboard or you can also check with an external keyboard to see if the same issue occurs with those. if it does the issue could be a software related. you can go to device manager, under keyboards uninstall the Keyboard Device and restart the computer.

Hello Machatsiduba, It's likely that the network card is capturing some radio signals phones close to your geographical location. the ASUS box has a white sticker on the new box. clearly showing this fact.
the motherboard, has sticker to ,for the same thing,
same answer, in the BIOS info screens, the serial will bet there
and a UUID, serial, that Microsoft uses, to block activation.
there a mAC too.
you did not say why you need this, so lacking context we guess.
omg a gaming laptop...
ASUS Rog 750 g750jw
on laptops in general, its on the bottom of the case
on some remove the battery pack and its a sticker inside there.
on newer laptops, the deleted stickers (deemed ugly)
so is deep hidden. BIOS pages are it.

i look at your mobo, and see only stickers on the ram slots
so open the ram hatch and look?
I SEE ONLY THIS.
i redacted it a bit, to make it neutered.
PN: not this.
PT? i guess not.
lower right, side is my guess, on SN. 69N-bla bla

Hello,
Weird problem... situation may have nothing to do with what happened. Your hard drive may have core problems. I would run the BIOS diagnostics if able. Also, boot from the OS install DVD and get to a command prompt where you can run CHKDSK.
Good Luck,
Steve
