What is your question about the EEPROM?

Lenovo ThinkPad... | Answered on Sep 07, 2015

Yes. The power supply should provide 19 volts continuously when plugged in. You can get replacement ac adapters pretty inexpensively on eBay. Make sure that the wattage (and/or "mA" rating) of the new adapter is equal to or greater than the current one.

Also be sure that the connector is the right size for your laptop. Most suppliers have a compatibility checker on their webstore to make sure that the connectors are compatible.

Mine has the same problem. I am puzzled by answers telling you to 'download the trackpoint driver...' etc. How are we going to download something when our laptop won't even turn on? That was the original question posted? Or am I missing something here???...

Bios battery dead. Replace the backup battery

Lenovo ThinkPad... | Answered on Jun 04, 2014

You need a replacement battery for the CMOS system on your computer.

The CMOS system contains the BIOS settings configuration and also runs the real time clock. If the real time clock does not stay in sync, this can have a negative affect on your installed operating system ( for example, a windows computer will not allow ANY system updates if the difference between your system time date, and the update servers current time and date is offset for 24 hrs. or more)

Yes there are two types one is a 65 watt adapter and the other is the 95 watt.
Some units may need the higher wattage due to hardware specs. But they will all run on both.
