I have a Krell KAV-400xi
Try to plug it in other known working outlet, if still the same symptoms, this is an indication that there's a faulty parts inside the unit. First thing to check is the internal fuse of your unit (I'm assuming here that the unit has no led light at the front panel), if it is already out of warranty, open the top cover and check the continuity of the fuse using the multimeter, if you found it open replaced it with same current(ampere) rating and then power on the unit again... Sometimes fuse fail because of voltage surge to guard other parts...

it is possible that you have eitherr a power realted issue or a protection circuit in acttion. First of all takeou the plugs and ccheck if there is corrosion in the pins, burn marks. If so clean them using a good emery paper,If so do not use the outlet that you are presently using. Otherwise If this seems OK, then you must check your speaker connections and check to find if the amp is over heating when it cuts off. Open the set top coverr and maek a good cleaning and tightening of the cords and boards while checking for burning smell. If you are able to access the main board, try to check for dry soldering bad joints in power and output cicuits. Use a good iron to do the resoldering and check again. If set is cutting off at high volume or high bass, then reduce load to confirm. If so you will have to check for distortion or wrong biasing in the output stages. Hope you check this out. Good day

Where can I get a fuse for my Krell KSA 300 amplifier.I had a blown fuse on the left channel.
Fuses rarely go on their own. The cause is likely to be a shorted semiconductor device in the left channel output.
Fuses are generally not specific to any brand. Is the fuse a tube with metal ends? If it is measure the length in MM. Then look at the end and you should see the rating. Either in A for Amps or MA for milliamps.
Any electronic parts supplier should have the one you want in stock. Buy several, for if the part I mentioned has gone, it will blow again.
