How to change battery on Timex Expedition Carabiner Watch WR30M
The back pops off by using a pen knife or tool . With the sharp edge between the cap and watch cast use a quick pop motion and it will come off, be careful not to cut yourself
There are three batteries in the wr30 you will see two batteries when you open the back a large one and a small one. Underneath the large battery is the smaller battery so 3 different batteries

Setting day and date on timex watch
For the analog Timex Indiglo with both day and date (CR 2016 Cell on back) and only the single crown available you must first pull out the stem and turn through the hours 24 at a time to get to the correct day(MON,TUES,etc.). Then you can pull the stem out only half way and set the date (1,2,3,etc.). Be careful to attend to the AM/PM time as you turn the stem for the day. Go too far and the day will change at noon and you have to wind through seven more 24 hours to correct it.

Cannot re-attach back cover - WR30M
Yeah, I had this problem on a Timex Indiglo, but didn't have it on the cheap $20 watches in drug stores and discount stores. Timex puts a tighter cap on the back, probably for quality reasons, and you cannot push it together by your thumb. --This solution should work for about anyone: 1. Put the watch face down on a hard surface, but protect the crystal from scratching by putting a piece of cardboard or cloth between them. 2. Align the back and put a socket from a socket set on it that is somewhat smaller than the back cap. 3. Tap the socket with a hammer. You don't need to tap hard--even less than what would start a small nail. It may take only one tap--getting it aligned right is the key.

Hi Sir...Thanks. The Hairspring is pretty clean.
If the hairspring is perfectly clean (pretty clean is not good enough), then you have to observe it by using magnification eyeglass. Check out if the coiled parts are touching each other while the balance wheel is in motion. If that happens you need to recoil/repair hairspring and make coiling perfectly even. Also check out if the hairspring is touching balance wheel or coc;k. It must not touch anythining and must expand and retract freely. Coc;k is the bridge on which the hairspring stud and regulator (index) is fitted. When this is sorted but the problem still persists, get back to me again I'll guide you through the next stage of possible solutions.
