Before you use the tool put a few drops of oil into the air line input. The pin may be sticking. You could try spraying WD40 into the area where the nail comes out also.
Sometimes dirt can build up in the region that the pin slides in and other moving parts and cause them to stick so you may have to dismantle the gun to clean it. Spray WD40 on all moving parts before re-assembly.

Most of the time this symptom is actually caused by a jammed driver blade.
Remove the head cap and see if the driver moves up and down freely - if it does then I would install a service kit.
If you send the model number I can get you the correct part number.

Take off cap of tool remove wagon wheel. remove cylinder and driver on outside of cylinder there are o-rings. A large one and a small one. It might be a band instead of an o-ring. there should be bunch of tiny holes your o-ring or band is worn or missing its called a return band. Replace the O-Ring or band and you should be good to go. Alos do not forget to lubricate.

Check for correct air pressure, released safety interlock, no jammed nails, correctly lubricate the drive mechanism.

Replace the split O ring, I would get a rebuild kit from Senco or dealer and rebuild the unit. O rings fail, if you opt only for the O ring buy a Viton O ring preferably American made, Good Luck.

If you are certain the finishing nails are the ones that are supposed to be used in this gun, try lubricating it inside with a really light oil such as 3 in 1, or PB Blaster, or sewing machine oil.
This worked for me.
