20 Most Recent Bosch SHX5AL02UC Dishwasher Questions & Answers

When I start a new cycle, I first hear the pump run to empty out all remaining water, and after that I hear the motor run for the regular washing cycle, but there is no water in the dishwasher. After a few minutes, the cycle stops, and the washer claims the dishes are 'clean'. When I try starting a new cycle over and over again, about one in 20 times, the cycle will run normally with water. But then the next time, the problem starts all over again. Once a cycle starts correctly, everything works fine, including the rinsing.

If the clean light is flashing (usually flashes 7 times), you have a faulty console. Replace the console.

Hmmmmmmmm. If the water goes in and the pump starts yet there is no washing action I would suspect that you have an impeller failure. The impeller on Bosch dishwashers is a two piece unit and the plastic rivets slowly dissolve until he impeller fails in 2 pieces. The fix is a new impeller which is supplied with a new seal as well. I believe Bosch does this to avoid running so long without renewing the seal and having a leak. I can't think of any other reason to have a dishwasher soluble part for an impeller. It's a bit of a bit** to fix but there are good videos on utube.

Check water supply to dishwasher. If ok then check water inlet filter for block. If blocked clean or replace.

Check your drain hose, especially where it goes into your garbage disposal. Also, if you got a new garbage disposal, make sure the plug has been knocked out in the dishwasher drain port.

Try unplugging your dishwasher for 15 seconds or more, and then plug it back in. If that doesn't fix the problem, or if the problem comes back within a day, then you probably have a bad control board, or else the Auto key is stuck closed (like it is pressed).

There is often a filter inserted in the water feed pipe where it attaches to the machines valve and is part of the sealing washer, check that is also clear.
