Typically these errors are caused when you have not upgraded the firmware on the printer, but are trying to print from newer software programs. The 49 error is basically the printer telling you it does not understand what you want it to do. HP Support Software Drivers Type in 4250 under the model here and then download the current firmware. Select the Easy Install version as you just have to run that like a regular program. This should resolve your issues.

I would start by removing the old driver, and make sure the print Que is empty.

check your print Que to see if you have a corrupt print job. cancel any and all prints in there, if any. if that doesn't solve it check/upgrade firmware or replace formatter board.

Jams are most commonly caused by worn rollers in the paper pickup area. One roller is in the tray and there are two rollers in the body of the printer above the tray. The blue rollers are the feed and separation rollers, the while body roller is the pickup. You can try cleaning them with a damp cloth but depending on page count they might be too worn. Part numbers are Pickup roller RM1-0036 and feed/separation rollers are RM1-0037. If the printer makes a lot of noise when printing then it is possible that the fuser drive is worn and causing slipping.

Sounds like a bad toner cartridge or a bad fuser. Try a different cartridge and also try running a cleaning page.

60.2 is a lifter motor error, this is the motor that lifts the paper into position when you push tray 2 in. They do fail. Restart the printer and watch the paper level on the front of the tray to see if it moves at all. Also listen for any chattering noise is it does lift. Sometimes if the metal panel in the tray that lifts is not moving smoothly this error can occur. Pull the tray out and on the right hand side you will see a geared piece of plastic, rotate it to see if the tray lifts when you do. If not the tray might be the problem not the motor.

Go to menu, in tray tray behaving tray1 select as unless paper load,in tray2 page size as any size.. while giving print command select printer properties, goto paper/quality select paper source automatic or tray2 & shoot print command & check...
# if you are not selected tray 1 as unless paper load, it will ask paper to load after command reached to it.
# if you are not selected tray2 as any paper size, defined paper size only it will allow to print..any paper size it will print with out questing you..

It is an error with the laser scanner unit
1 Press ( SELECT button) to continue.
2 Turn the printer off and then on.
3 Reseat the connectors between the
laser/scanner and dc controller
PCA (J83 and J84).
4 Replace the laser/scanner assembly.
See Laser/scanner assembly.
5 Replace the dc controller PCA. See
Dc controller PCA.

If nothing from above works and the printer is no longer in warranty, it is possible if the printer is being used in a very dirty or dusty enviornment that the lens and optics of the laser/scanner are so full of debris that the beam detect error occurs. You can remove the top cover and the big black box in the center is the laser scanner assembly. Remove the screws securing the top cover of the laser scanner and remove and clean up all the optics to include the main mirror in the front. I usually use a damp q tip and for the mirror I slide up from toner cartrdige shutter area and observe from the top as it cleans the mirror. Removing the complete assembly on this model is not easy since there are a couple of cables going to the dc controller which are difficult to remove so removing the top of the assembly is easier.

Cancell all print jobs in the print que.. shut down computer disconnect USB or Network cabes to printer... turn printer off then back on wait till printer comes to READY then reconnect USB or Network cables ... turn computer back on and print again

It seems you have a worn fuserunit. By replacing the fuserunit (RM1-1083) the problem should be solved.

if no network cable is connected then it will always show as 0.0.0.0 this is because the network connection is not activated without a network cable
