Maytag MTF2155GRQ Top Freezer Refrigerator - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

If you are not getting any water to the ice maker, I would assume that the little blue thing is in fact the water solenoid. These are replaceable at most appliance parts houses.

Make sure their is no stray ice cubes jamming the ice maker. If they are then zap em with a hair dryer. Fill the ice maker with water and wait. if it kicks out a batch change the water valve. if it don't kick nine out change out the ice mold thermostat. None of this is very hard to fix. One other thing is if those condenser coils are clogged with lint then the ice maker won't get down to 25 f and the ice mold thermostat won't start the harvest.

IF THE COMPRESSOR IS COMING ON AND OFF IN A MATTER OF SECONDS, YOU MAY HAVE A BAD START DEVICE(RELAY) ON THE COMPRESSOR. IF THE COMPRESSOR RUNS FOR FIVE MINUTES OR MORE, CHECK THE FAN NEAR THE COMPRESSOR AND THE COILS
UNDER THE REFRIGERATOR. IF THINGS SEEM EXTREMELY
HOT, CLEAN THE COILS AND MAKE SURE THE FAN IS RUNNING. IF IT IS ALL O.K. YOU MAY HAVE A LEAK IN THE SEALED SYSTEM( TUBING WHERE THE FREON FLOWS).
THAT WOULD REQUIRE A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN LICENSED TO HANDLE FREON TO MAKE REPAIRS.

MOST ALL MANUALS GIVE DIRECTIONS FOR MORE THAN ONE MODEL INCLUDING FEATURES THAT MAY NOT BE ON YOUR MODEL. SOME DO NOT HAVE ADJUSTABLE ROLLERS BUT INSTEAD HAVE A FIXED ROLLER AND A SET OF LEGS TO BE SCREWED INTO THE SOCKET AT THE FRONT CORNERS AND ADJUSTMENTS MADE WITH THE LEGS.

probably better off getting a new fridge. replacement could cost £150-250 depending on the engineer replacing it.

Slide the frig out, (Unplug Frig. first) remove the cover so you can see the condenser, beside the condenser there is a switch that has to be carefully removed w/(fasteners) Take to your nearest appliance store, last time I did this it was like $52.00. Carefully plug-in, take not were the wiring goes usually they only fit just one way. reassemble cover, plug-in you should hear it kick on, good luck.

If you go to https://www.filtersfast.com/Maytag-Refrigerator-Water-Filters-cat.asp
It will show you styles of Maytag Refrigerators. If you click on the one that matches your style, it will show you possible areas the filter is located. You can then look in those areas. Once you locate it, then you can then identify your filter part # and replace if needed. You can also go to Maytags website and look up your model and find the manual. The manual will likely tell you where the filter is and what the part number is.

It could be the start relay on the compressor failing. If the fridge cant get down to temperature, the icons or alarms will start to flash or beep.

Pull the toe kick plate straight off the front to gain access.

The pan is located under the freezer and accessed by pulling it out from the front (not attached, just sits in place.)

The water is coming from the air that is being cooled. This how AC work. Refer to instructions that came with unit for further explanation.
