To perform a factory reset:
  1. Verify that your router's Power light is on.
  2. On the back of your router, locate the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button.
  3. Use a paper clip or similar object to press and hold the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button for seven seconds.
  4. Release the Restore Factory Settings or Reset button.
    Your router resets.
When you log in to your router again, use the default login credentials:
  • User Name: admin
  • Password: password

Cordless phones, microwave ovens and wireless surveillance cameras between the modem and the device will do it. If it's hard wired to the computer, the signal strength from the phone company may be low. Call the phone company to have them come out and test the signal level that is applied to the modem.

You can order an adapter that plugs into the wall socket at the router and at the computer. The direct connect to the router and the network adapter in the computer assures a good connection. Of course, a laptop that you move around with couldn't use this as effectively.

there might be a setting in the digiland dl 9002 to forget wi fi connection in the wi fi list of possible wi fi networks.

or reset the unit
they apparently have a small hole that you put a paper clip into and push hidden button to reset the tablets settings to factory default.
With tablet back camera facing you there should be a hole at left bottom corner of back of tablet .
Press and hold this in with the paper clip or a tooth pick
unit should power down
then press power button to power back up
it should be reset to factory defaults

If that model is similar to their other routers, then there is a drop-down box in the top right corner after you login, where you can pick the language. Mine was set to "Auto" by default.

It sounds like it's not configured to be a DHCP server. It should be a setting you can turn on. Login to the router. You may need to manually set your computer's IP to be in the same subnet as the router so that you can do so. The default address for the Netgear 7550 would be http://192.168.254.254, so you'll have to set your computer's IP to something like 192.168.254.253, and then browse to the above address. Username and password are both "admin". If that IP doesn't work, try setting your computer's IP to 192.168.1.2, and browse to http://192.168.1.1, then look for a "DHCP Server" setting in the Local Area Network section, and make sure it's checked.

If you've forgotten the password to your Netgear router, then you're locked out from making any changes. The only way to recover a Netgear router password is to reset the device to factory default settings. You can then set a new password and recover your ability to configure the router.

    • 2 Open a browser window and enter the IP address of the Netgear router to access the configuration console. The Netgear default IP address is 192.168.0.1.2
    • 3 Enter the default username and password, as follows:
      username: admin
      password: 1234 or password
    • 4 If you are still unable to log in, the router may not have been reset. Unplug the router and hold the reset button for 20 seconds before plugging in the power cord. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to gain access to the route

You didn't supply the Model of NetGear device. Push and hold the reset button for 30 seconds or so, release. This will reset to default settings. Reconfigure the SSID and Security settings.
