How to connect my bose solo to my 2009 samsung tv
sounds like you have it set correctly..do you have any other sources than external,(such as audio out) ?If so that should solve your problem...does the system have any other connection outs, such as red white audio cables (LR audio )? You can use them as external when the optical is unplugged...if you get sound you either have a bad optical cord or the output for it is defective..good luck GOD BLESS

back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

In some models of LCD TVS; the backlight inverter and its T'Con board will be a part of the panel itself, and will be a built-in type inside the LCD panel. If so, they can't be replaced. In this case; a panel replacement is the only repair. For some other models, the backlight inverter section circuit will be a part of the main power supply regulator [SMPS]. To such sets, the power supply section circuit too should be troubles hooted. Contact any service technician. The circuit will differ with models and versions.

Why dont i have a picture?
Hi, not sure if you have the same fault as i had, but our tv only had half the screen go off, after looking up on the internet i found a video for a fix, what you need to do is remove the back cover, there will be ribbons that go from the front screen to the main panel, i removed each one at a time and rubbed the contacts of the ribbon with a rubber on the end of a pencil, plugged them all back in and switched it on and it was now spot on, thats more than a year ago and its still working spot on, hope this helps

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "
Mosaic" will make surf easy.
