Hello
There are two main reaons for this fault. The first is with its power regulator board itself. If it has any loose soldering points developed, this type of intermittent fault can occur. The second is with its light engine. If you want to do this work by yourself, you must have thorough knoledge in electroncis, and must have all tools and ability to follow its schematic diagram. The most you need is patience. If you have these all, and want to do the repairwork by yoursef, inform me. I've the schematics of your tV, and all repair adjustments and proceedings. The power supply board and lamp ballast boards for Samsung (HL-T) series are shown here for your referecne. The lamp ballast board also may need to be checked.

power button sticky ir remote sensor bad or dmd board problem most failures with samsung seem to be dmd board related if not the bulb or ballast

Samsung... | Answered on Jan 03, 2011

sounds like the bulb needs to be changed

Samsung... | Answered on Dec 23, 2010

The blinking signals a fault. If the bulb is new and was installed correctly then the ballast board - the board that powers the bulb - is faulty. To find out more and how to fix it the tv must be opened, the voltages on the power and ballast boards tested, the failed part identified and replaced. This is a job for someone with experience in electronics so it's time to call for one.In the mean time unplug the tv from the mains, keeping it powered makes the fault worse.

The DLP tv projection light engine is the cause. This problems, very expensive to repair or replaced the projection light engine.Samsung know about this flaw in the tv design.Talk to them, make a deal with them about it.Help u repair it.

If both lights are on then the fault is in the controller board - the firmware got corrupted and you must reinstall it.
All you need is here
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/HL-T5676S
But if the tv is totally unreponsive then the processor itself was damaged and the board must be replaced. This is relatively difficult and should be left to a certified repairman.

Hi,
The power light may be flashing or if you are runing with a series light bulb it may be cycling on and off continuously. There may be a chirping or clicking sound from inside the set. (Note: using too small a series light bulb load during testing for the size of the TV may also result in this condition.)

If there is a low voltage regulator or separate switching supply, it could be cycling on and off if the horizontal output, flyback, or one of its secondary loads were defective.

Does this TV have a separate low voltage regulator and/or switching power supply or is it all part of the flyback circuit? For the following, I assume it is all in one (most common).

Some simple things to try first:

Verify that the main filter capacitor is doing its job. Excessive ripple on the rectified line voltage bus can cause various forms of shutdown behavior. An easy test is to jumper across the capacitor with one of at least equal voltage rating and similar capacitance (make connections with power off!).

Use a Variac, if possible, to bring up the input voltage slowly and see if the TV works at any point without shutting down. If it does, this could be an indication of X-ray protection circuit kicking in, though this will usually latch and keep the set shut off if excessive HV were detected.
Good Luck....
