Most laptops use a four pin cable as does the camera.
You do have a 4 to 4 pin cable?

Open Windows Movie Maker with the camera attached and turned on in playback mode.
File> Capture from Digital Camera.

hi,because final cut express only support .dv,mpeg-4 and .mov formats.
so you can convert your video files to .mp4.
you can use the third party software convert your video files to .mp4 format.
you can use Mod to Final Cut Express Converter.

Again, your imovie cant support your video files recorded by your camera. U have to convert these HD formats to mov or mp4 first.
And i always use Pavtube HD Converter for Mac to help me convert these hd formats to mov to use in my imovie.

actually it is CCD failure !

kindly contact panasonic they will do it free of charge i am pretty sure even if u are out of warranty bcoz it is a known problem many are facing just call them they will arrange repairs

Video cameras are incredibly complicated, and for this reason they should be referred to an authorized Panasonic repair house. They have all the specs to be able to do the job. Other repair houses, when they don't have all the specs, will often jab at a solution which is ok, because this method solves about 97% of all electronic problems when done by a talented repair person. . Send your camera off, even if you have to mail it.
