Good Morning Friend,

I understand that you want to know if the motor is bad in your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E, can it cause the motor control board to go bad as well. Just because the motor is bad, does not mean that the motor control board is bad. It depends on what is going on with your appliance. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your washer and determine exactly what is going on. Hope this is helpful.

Hi Friend, thank you for your post!

It appears your Frigidaire washer has power, but has no display. Let's try resetting your washer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is good to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your washer. Confirm that the door is securely closed and select a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, it could potentially mean a number of things: a potential wiring failure, faulty door latch assembly or control board. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Hope this helps! - Z

Good Morning Friend, thank you for your inquiry!

I see that your Frigidaire washer does not complete a cycle and continues to shutoff. It appears that the timer itself may not be operating correctly or are experiencing a communication error from the control board. If you noticed a humming noise, it could either be a clogged drainage hose or pump that needs to be cleaned, or it could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. I would strongly recommend connecting with a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause. You can often locate a qualified service provider through the manufacturer website.
Best regards! - Z

Good Afternoon Friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

An error code E58 could mean a number of issues, but primarily that the motor is overheating or a higher-than-usual motor current caused by other issues. Typically, an experienced technician would remove the belt to check the motor and motor pulley to ensure all is in working order first. Their next step would be to check the tub pulley and tub bearings. Last items they would examine would be the drive motor and speed control board by ohm measurement. Once the tech has ruled out a number of possibilities, he or she can pinpoint the exact problem and the necessary part to fix the issue. Since parts can often be quite costly, I would personally recommend reaching out to a qualified tech who can accurately diagnose the issue your washer is experiencing.

Hope this helps! - Z

Good Morning Friend, this is Z. That's a great question!

If you are getting an error code E21, it usually means that your washer is not pumping out water fast enough. First, check the drain hose for any restrictions or kinks. If you have check the hose and it appears to be clear and free, then potentially the underlying issue may be the main control board or pump. Generally it is a good idea to have a professional take a look at it to get to the root cause. Cost of parts and technical expertise entailed in these types of replacements can be a bit tricky.

Good Afternoon Friend, this is Z.

If your Frigidaire washer is not spinning, often it is because your washer cannot dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does your washer make a humming noise? If so, you may have a restriction in the drain line or a faulty pump. If not, your washer may be experiencing an issue with the control board not communicating correctly, faulty timer, or door lock assembly. I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.

Sometimes the coin trap needs to be emptied, coins and hard objects that fall out of pockets will end up there. Mine will make noises every year or so and I have to empty it. It's not difficult, you just have to lie on your back to get to it. Your manual should tell you where it is, if that is the problem. Good luck.
