The Linksys adapter should have a program you open to find and connect to your router. If not, you can use the Windows Network settings to find your router and connect. Although 54G is a slower speed, they should still connect.

Try to reset with a 'Power Reset':

1. Pull the power from the router for 30-60 seconds and reconnect the power.
2. Check again.

If this does not help, the (1) powersupply or the (2) router may be faulty.
