Hi NICK. Your question is an old one so I don?t know if you?ve a response to your initial request yet. Regardless, I shall attempt to provide you some help. You can download an Instruction (Operations and Maintenance) manual for your H600/L800 series mixer online at : http://www.hobartservice.com/. Click on Manuals & Support> and on the next screen click on Quick Searches>By Model. Enter your model, H600, without the T. A whole screen of models and titles will appear under several categories. Look for ?Instruction Manuals? (you can click the minus button of the other categories to compress the listings and reduce screen clutter.) You will see two listings for h600/L800 mixers, titled Instructions Manual: H600/L800 Mixers. If your mixer was manufactured prior to Sep 2002, download F-18812 Rev B (12-99) and if your mixer was manufactured after Sep 2002, download F-34816 Rev B (Apr 2003) The parts manual for your Hobart mixer is another matter. Hobart does provide parts manuals for their Legacy series mixers in PDF format online, but not for your series mixer. To access parts lists and exploded view illustrations of your mixer, you?ll need to use the very easy Hobart smartparts? webapp on the Hobart website. You?ll have to register first with Hobart to access their Hobart 'Smartparts?' app, but it is well worth the effort. Once you?ve registered, and access the Smartparts? screen, click Food Machines (4th radio button)> Floor Mixer(1st radio button)> H-600/L-800 (4th radio button)> Planetary Unit (13th radio button)(I?m assuming the shaft you refer to where the oil is leaking is the planetary (agitator) shaft that you attach the mixing blades to, so that is the assembly where you want to look for parts that might be leaking). Click on the View Figure @50% button and locate the following parts: #17 O-ring, #18 Oil Baffle, Planetary, and #23 Cap, Oil retaining. I suspect that one or both parts have worn due to age allowing the planetary lubrication oil to seep down the agitator shaft. By replacing one or both parts the leaking oil should stop. Whether you replace the parts your self or have Hobart do it, this should start you on your way. Good luck ? Howard, Burke, VA

There are seals on the gear box. The machine would have to be quite well used to cause a leak. They are quite repairable. www.hobartcorp.com is the web site. You will need the model number to get the manuel. Have a good day.

Bill. Whisks are not interchangable for different bowls. Try ebay to locate one.

Look in the bottom back of the pedestal, you will see a cover, remove the cover a contactor start switch and relay will be in there.I suspect the relay is bad,if you dont see a relay its a older unit. What is the ml #? You can find it on the data plate on the b ack.

Looks to be a drift pin missing. See parts diagrams in above manual.

Try this.

Take two flat blade screwdrivers and slip the blades between the planetary and the mixer body (on opposite sides) pry it off.

This has worked for me.
