# Top 20 Sentry CA 756 Calculator Questions & Answers

What is the question?
Put your calculator in STAT mode (2-var statistics or regression )
Enter your data in two lists, preferably sorted according to the x-value
Choose a regression model from the ones available and get the calculator to give you the best fit.
However to see which regression model best fits you data you need a graphing calculator to draw the scatter plot, then superpose on the scatter plot the curve of best fit given by the regression model.

Once you accept a model as the most suited one, you can use the equation of the curve to predict a y-value given an x-value (what ever REAL LIFE meaning they might have)
.

Press the [a b/c] to toggle from one form to the other.

Use the key marked with an exclamation mark.

Look for a key marked with an exclamation mark.

How to graph a function
Look for a key labeled Y= ( the y= editor) and press it. Use the key pad to type in the right side of the function.
Press Graph to display the graph.
If drawing is out of range set the window parameters. Alternatively (if there is a zoom key) use it to select a ZoomIn, a ZoomOut , Zoom Standard.

Look for a key y= (y= editor). type in the right side of the function sin(x), press Draw or graph. After a graph is drawn, and if it is not well centred play with the Windows dimensions, or the Zoom functions.

To change the angular mode, press MODE, press the digit corresponding to the desired mode, then press EXE.

Press the purple button 'Alpha' after pressing sign, then go down to the "+" sign that has the purple X BELOW it, press it. "X" should have appeared.

If you do not have an ALPHA key you probably cannot use variable X. Besides, you are not solving anything here. You are merely adding two quantities. The problem is simple. You have solved countless number of similar examples where you were talking about concrete objects.

In algebra X (or any other letter symbol) is a place holder for any quantity you wish it to be. It could be apples, oranges, what have you. Using this analogy, ask yourself the question: 2 oranges + 8 oranges makes how many oranges. The answer is 10.
You will get the same value if instead of X=oranges, you have X=apples. So there is a universal truth and you state that by using an abstract entity called X.
Thus 2X+8X=10X. and X can stand for anything, anything at all.

You cannot be serious. The digit keys allow you to enter the digits that make up the number you are using in your calculations. +, x, - / allow you to perform an addition, a multiplication, a subtraction, or a division. Keys with x^2, sin, tan, cos, log, allow you to calculate the relevant functions.
You get the idea.
To learn how to use the calculator, read the manual. At least skim through it looking for instructions on how to use a particular task. There is no shortcut.

Enclose the base 24/76 with parentheses, and do the same for the exponent 1/7
(24/76)^(1/7). The caret ^ represents the general power key. On your calculator that key may be marked X to power y or Y to power x.

there should be a button that has an x with a y where the two would be, i believe its above the delete button. that symbol is the same as x^2 (x Squared) except you input whatever you need to as the power in place of y. so hitting x^y followed by a 3 should cube your original x.

it's just on top of the DEL button.

It's x with and y exponent

Use the "x^y" button (above "DEL" button; next to ")" button). For your problem above, enter 10 then "x^y" then 5.5 and press "Ans" button.

Please refer to the manual and check if the chosen MODE is the correct one required to process the equation or the commutation required or else this wont work.
Check to see the different modes and study on how to apply them to the said equation.

Press MODE and a digit corresponding to the mode you want. Take a look at the "cheat sheet" next to the display for the available modes.
