Purchase the remote control, install batteries, and try it before taking anything apart. If the new remote control does not work, the internal receiver may have failed.

Fan is not made anymore.

You have to get the correct receiver for that fan. There's no such thing as a universal remote,no matter what it says on the box. Call 1-888-830-1326 and you can order your correct part.

there is a watt governor, or black box for the lights to cut down on wattage or energy use. you can remove the black box for the lighting, and wire it directly to the main wires. white wire to white wire, and black wire to red wire. black and red are always a hot wire and white is a neutral wire. the part number on black box should be 98480-02. this should stop the lights from blinking. have a good day !

have no choice but to buy the original receiver through hunter - not a replacement from HD or Lowes - it will not work.

if you look at the mount bracket where the ball of the fan fits in to it should fit right above the ball in the mount bracket and if it can fit loose in the canopy thats ok to just long as ou can get the bell housing back up

the light switch has gone faulty all you can do is change this switch

mcdevito75 here, Both the fan and lights work off the wall switch, for the fan to work there is also a pull chain close to the ceiling on the fan shroud you have to pull that chain to get the fan going and 1--2 more times for various speeds. If by chance the fan is brand new, reove the blades and check for stops in the fan motor, right where the blades hook up, these are in place from the factory and have to be removed for the fan to work, they pull right out.

You just need to wrap it and tuck it .. You might need to cut some of the fan wires shorter so there is not so much bulk under the canopy cover. The fans are shipped with enough wire leads to be able to use a down rod, They can be cut shorter when the fan is being installed.

Most likely the remote problem is some kind of radio frequency interference. If the main problem is that they turn on when you don't want them on, then you could rewire or just put an extra switch that would turn off the power to the fan completetely. Then you would turn that switch on and use the remote only when you wanted it to run. This would be an extra step, but it would save you buying another fan.

You also might contact Hunter and see if they could send you a regular switch.

Hunter would be a possible source.

Hunter Dryers | Answered on Oct 08, 2019 | 49 views

If remote and receiver is rated for fan load then this should be possible. Will need to replace remote and sensor units as 3rd party remote may not be compatible with the Hunter type.
