Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time.

I believe you either have a bad LCD Controller Board or a bad Main Board. The only way to know is to replace one. If it doesn't fix it , replace the other. Or replace both and it should be fixed.
I hope this helps,

the lcd controller is also called the T-con board. it is attached to the back of the screen on the top middle of the screen. Under a platic or a metal shield. you can get parts for this TV at www.interliquidparts.com

Test: You might see a pic by shining a bright light against the screen. (Halogen can burn a spot if too close for too long like 15 seconds). If so, you probably have an inverter, backlight tube or coil/driver board problem. Some of these units have a bad ground on the tube driver coil board which can be shimmed and/or tightened. Sometimes a simple car light tester (continuity tester with a 12v bulb) from casing/mount ground to any of the negative (upper usually) side of the backlight driver coils will light the screen and reveal if and which tube is non functional. I leave one dome light running in such ground position one of my TVs at all times for regulation and night dimming.

Bad news you have a broke panel. A replacement part exceeds value of tv so i'd replace it. You may try to search for another like yours with electronic problems such as lightning damage. Try E-bay for example.

That isn't how resolution works. The resolution is changed in the cable box or satellite tv receiver. The television automatically displays the resolution once it has been changed on the cable box or satellite tv receiver. If you are on input tv on the Sharp television then it will not display any other resolution besides 480i if you have a cable box or satellite tv receiver. If you are not connected to a cable box or satellite tv receiver and you are on input tv then the resolution will differ from channel to channel.

No picture on all inputs, this is not good since more likely that it will need parts for a 1year old TV! Sad!

Please try this to narrow down the problem:

First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there is some troubleshooting you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.

Take flashlight 2 in from screen and see if there is a picture, if so then it's the inverter board problems or the t-conn board.. In not the video or logic board

Do a factory reset. Is this the real model number? If it is not then please do not follow these instructios.

This might take two people.
Turn off and unplug your television. Hold down the input and vol- buttons on the television at the same time. Do not let the buttons go, keep holding them. Plug the television in keeping the buttons held down the entire time. Keep holding down the buttons and the television will power itself on. Keep holding down the buttons until a green k appears on the screen. Release the buttons when you see the k. Next press and hold down the vol- and channel down buttons on the television until the service menu appears. You will need the remote control now. Press the down arrow button under enter on the remote just one time to go to page 2. You will know what page you're on because there will be a number on the very top left and it will say 1/26 or something like that. The first number before the slash is the page you are on. So on page 2 you will see INIT. Press the right arrow to turn it on and then press enter. When the INIT is complete the screen will turn green. Unplug the television for one minute and when you plug it back in it will turn itself on and you will have to complete the same setup you did when the television was first unboxed. Do not turn the televison off with the power button before unplugging at the end.
