Frigidaire FGF316 Gas Kitchen Range - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Hey friend, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand that your burners are not as hot as they have been before. I have identified a few possibilities could be with your burners or igniters. There could be a clog within the system of your Frigidaire range. I would suggest seeking assistance from a technician to come out and properly diagnosis your appliance. -Matt

Hello Mary Beth, I am happy to assist you!

I understand you are seeking information on how to life the top of your Frigidaire range for the above-listed model number, FGF316. Here are some simple steps you need to take:

  • Grasp the side of your cooktop and then lift from the front.

  • The top high would need to be lifted high enough to allow the support rods to snap into place. The Lift-up rods will support the top in its raised position.

  • While the cooktop is lifted up, you can use soapy water and a clean cloth, and then dry to clear underneath.

  • Lower the top gently by pushing back on each rod (when lowering the top, grasp the sides with fingertips only. Be careful not to pinch fingers). This will release the notched support. Hold the range top and slide he range top down into the range frame.

I hope this information helps to some degree. If there is anything else that I can help you with, please feel free to reconnect!

Stove needs 240v, sounds like you have it plugged into a normal 120v outlet.

Hello kdccampbell2 - Does "LOC" appear in the display if any button is pushed? The Oven Lockout feature automatically locks the oven door, prevents the warmer drawer and most oven controls from being turned ON. Press and hold CLEAR/OFF for 3 seconds. A beep will sound. LOC will clear. The "DOOR LOCKED" will continue to flash until the oven door has completely unlocked. Do the maintop burners work? Confirm the shut-off valve on the gas pressure regulator is in the "ON" position. This valve shuts off gas to the oven (typically located on the back left-hand side of the range). I do not suggest re-lighting the unit, as this may cause harm to you and possible damage to the appliance. Contact a professional to move forward accurately and to assist with the repairs.

Hello juan a 83 -Hi - Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately two minutes and turn the range back on. Select a normal bake cycle and if issue continues then the unit may possibly have either a faulty element, bad communication error with the main control board, oven sensor, or mechanical thermostat. I strongly suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately. They also usually warranty their labor just in case something else may turn out to be the root cause of your initial problem and it does work out better to your advantage.

Hello - Does any part of the range work? I would recommend verifying that a fuse is not blown or a circuit breaker tripped. Test the power outlet with a lamp, hair dryer, etc. Another questions, does "Loc" appear in the display if any button is pushed? The Oven Lockout feature automatically locks the oven door, prevents the warmer drawer and most oven controls from being turned ON. If so, press and hold CLEAR/OFF for 3 seconds. A beep will sound. LOC will clear. The "DOOR LOCKED" will continue to flash until the oven door has completely unlocked. Do the maintop burners work? Granting that it does, you can try confirming that the shut-off valve on the gas pressure regulator is in the "ON" position (usually located on the back left-hand side of the range). This valve shuts off gas to the oven. If after the basic troubleshooting, you continue to experience the issue I would suggest contacting a certified technician to assist in the full diagnosis and repair of your range.

Even though the ignitor glows, it can be bad. More often then not its like a light bulb, it will not last forever. You can replace it and it will wok again. Below is a picture of the part and its location. Part number is 5303935066, price can range depending on where you get it, from 50-75 dollars. Location of part (F19) kidlmo_1.gif Good luck

Hi.
This is a oven temp sensor failure notice. you will need to check the wires leading from the temp sensor to the control. if the wires are in good condition and , the sensor harness is not welded, replace the temp sensor ASAP.

Sure could be a defect. Did the installation guys get the racks backward or something? Try fitting them all the different ways they can possibly fit, and if they are just not stable the dealer must make this right.

Don't be hesitant to call the dealer and tell them what is going on. A reputable dealer is going to be rather appalled to hear your experience and will certainly send a serviceman to see what is going on.
