take out the memory card
>look for a lock tab at the side of it
>push it up
>insert the memory card back.
>that should do it

*card lock is a feature of the memory card so that you won't accidentally erase the files that are saved in it

hope this helps

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Ok. I have the samsung l200 but the cameras are very similar. I had the issue as well. When I plug it in it flashes red once, green once, then orange consistently. It would not charge the battery.

The fix was really quite unexpected. I did two things not sure which fixed it.

1. slide the cable into the camera slowly until the light turned red once, then pulled it gently in and out a few times.
2. as i plugged it in, I tried to angle the plug side to side sliding it to the left and right on a diagonal. I was hoping the pins would be touched differently when I did this which might reset something.

not sure which of these two things corrected the problem, but the camera is now charging.

First take a back up of all image from thememory card to PC then format the memory card. After formatting the memory cardGo in camera setting or setup mode. From there You can find RESET ALL option.Reset the camera all setting as default. After resetting took out the memorycard and battery then sit the camera for 45 minutes.
After 45 minutes insert the well charged battery & memory card in thecamera and turn on. Now let me know any changes or not. Thank you.

If you use a memory card in your camera, all you need to download your pics is a separate card reader. You don't need a driver and you can drag and drop your pics into a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can send the pics to iPhoto or anywhere else you prefer.
