Ghosting appears often because of bad toner. If cartridges have been refilled, they have wrong toner in them. If drum has worn out it will usually tell you. All parts for this machine cost too much. If toner is not the problem, probably best to get a new machine rather than pay to get it fixed. Brothers are cheaper to run.

How to check wich toner is out of ink

Press and hold the stop button for 5 seconds...a configuration report will be printed out. Reference page 41 in this link to Samsung for your CLP315.

the printer may be detecting dust or something on the sensor, and detecting it as a jam

Why is red light on samsung clp- 315 and it is not

Does one of these situations apply to you?

The Status LED light is Red and the Toner lights are OFF (Check Smart Panel for message)

A Paper Jam has occurred.
The Front, Top, or Back Cover is open.
There is no paper in the Paper Tray.
There is a problem with the Waste Toner container.
A major error has occured.

The Status LED light is Blinking/Flashing Red and the Toner light(s) are Red

The Toner cartridge(s) that are Red need to be replaced. (Can still be used to print, but quality is unreliable)

The Status LED light is Red and the Toner light(s) are Red

The Toner cartridge(s) that are Red need to be replaced. (Printing is not available)
The Toner cartridge(s) are not installed properly.

Yes, you have to change the print properties on the computer to let the printer know it is using cardstock. Please refer to the owners manual to get the information. The manual can be found at www.samsung.com under the support section.

Although I have reinstalled the driver and tried other troubleshooting solutions, I continue to receive USB Printer status is not available whenever I try printing something.

samsung clp color leserjet printer writes this massage toner exhaust yellow toner. i have done the toner refil without the reset chips about two times now and i have been printing for some time now i get the message "toner exhaust yellow toner"
