Tip & How-To about Panasonic SC-HT520 System

Panasonic home Theater showing "Locked" on display.

Try first unplugging unit from main, and holding the cancel button.

If that does not work try the following:
Hold at the same time the stop button on the main unit and key >10 on the remote control at the same time for about 5 seconds, until you get the word "initialised" on display. This will reset the unit to factory settings.

canon mx330 printer error 5200

Try this: Press the resume button (or cancel).

If not, unplug the unit and plug it back in.

Or, try this: Open the lid so the printer moves the head to the center position and unplug the power cord. Remove the ink and head. Plug the machine back in and let it go through it's startup routine. When it's done, open the lid and reinstall the head/ink cartridges.

If this does not work, you may have a bad printhead. Printheads for Canons cost anywhere from $50 to over $100 depending on where you get them and what model the printer is.

WARNING If, during your testing, the machine suddenly dies completely (no power at all) do not purchase a new print head. Some Canon models have a bad type of failure where the printhead goes bad and shorts, which draws too much current from the main board causing the main board to blow. If you replace the printhead in a machine with a bad main board caused by this failure you will just blow the new printhead. Remember this only applies if your machine suddenly dies completely (no power at all).

Good luck.

5c00 error code

A 5c00 error relates to the sensor in the purge unit, which is where the carriage stops on the right hand side of the printer. You may find that the ink has built up in the purge unit and it will need to be washed out in warm water. The sensor in the purge unit will need to be removed before washing the unit.

Fixing this error is much easier than it looks. Unplug the printer completely. Move the ink cartridge cradle gently to the left. Over to the right at it's usual resting place you will see a small pad about 1cm square. This pad and the area around should be covered with ink. Get a microfibre cloth and press down on this pad - it's not fixed so should come away with the cloth, otherwise use tweezers gently. Squeeze the pad several times between your thumb and forefinger while inside the microfibre cloth to remove ink build up. Then when not much ink comes out on the cloth, clean the area in the printer around the pad so that looks free from ink too. Then position the pad back in place, move the cradle back into position, plug in and switch on - should work fine now. But it's worth checking for any paper caught near the ink pad as my error occured after a paper jam.
To reset canon i80 after fixing ink overflow, i was able to follow this reset. i90 i believe is the same.

Try the following procedure:
1)Turn off the printer. Press and hold the Resume/Cancel and Power buttons at the same time.
2)Release the Resume/Cancel button. (continue to hold down the power button)
3)While continuing to hold down the power button press the Resume/Cancel button 3 times then release both buttons.
4)The LED should now be green. Press the Resume/Cancel button 4 times. The led should be green.
Power it off and back on and you should be good to go!

Good luck :)
