Ice inside freezer door is warming and melting. Some doors have fiberglass insulation and can be re-insulated (per a service bulletin from GE) but others have foamed in insulation which would require complete door replacement to correct that condition. I suggest contacting GE consumer relations with your model and serial number to see if they will help you.

Issue with Kenmore Refrigerator/Freezer

ok,1st check on fridge side toward upper back of the top and feel for air coming thru, and there is another one down possibly behind crisper .I had this same deal. Had to do total defrost,, put food in cooler,, theres two blower fans in these types of fridges,,one in the bottom back,, and one in the back of the frezzer,, I used an old hair dryer and let it blow warm to top interior of frezzer,, careful not to let any cords hang/drop in any water!!,ok once done dry out as much water as possible, turn fridge on set both controls to 4,when fridge kicks on do the feel test,, you may need to close the frezzer door, air should be felt near top inside of fridge,if so than shut fridge side and feel inside frezzer near bottom and air should be felt,, side-by-side need to circulate air from frezzer to fridge, then back to frezzer

Ge monogram has water droplets in refrigerator side just along top right corner edge where top door gasket closes against refridgerator. Refridgerator seems to be holding temperature. Condenser is above...

The gasket may have worn some causing an air leak,.and you
are seeing water condensation from the leak. Try adjusting
the door hinge. Close the door on a piece of paper and see if
you can pull the paper out. Adjust the hinge until the paper is
tight. You may have to adjust both hinges to align it properly.

I have a GE side by side refridgerator Model GSH25JSRFSS and I have ice coming through the door but the water stopped coming through the door. Any suggestions?

Greetings,
here is a quick way to tell...remove the kickplate and under the freezer door you'll see the water hose coming out the door and going behind the kickplate...there will be a quick disconnect coupling that you can release one section of tubing...do this and with the freezer door closed..Have someone push the water and see if comes out..if it does..the water hose in the door is frozen...re-install tube into coupling...if it does not come out being disconnected, then you most likely need a new water inlet valve...to remove tubing at coupling if its not a screw on one...as the tube going into the coupling there will be a plastic ring that is loose..push this into body of coupling while pulling out tubing.

Water runs out the frezzer side when the door is closed onto the household floor.

Look underneath the fridge and check the drain pan it's probably full. Also check your hoses when you under there. You have a line running from the wall underneath the fridge and up to the water supply system. Check for any lines that might be leaking or have come loose and causing the problem.

Water leaking from left side of frezzer out the

There is a restriction in the condensate drain. You should be able to press a piece of tubing against the drain opening (inside fridge) and BLOW (NOT ****) through the other end. this should clear the obstruction. The obstruction would be slimy goop, sooo again -
NO ****!

GE Refridgerator Not Dispensing Water

The waterline inside the door is frozen . Best way to thaw is .....1. open the door and tape the light switch down to keep the light off and the fan working . 2. tape plastic (trash bag , drycleaning bag..etc) over the entire freezer opening so the food will not thaw and the fridge will continue to work as designed . If possible 3. disconnect the water coupling behind the kickplate so air can enter , helping the door defrost cycle , or , leave the coupling connected and ocasionally walk by and press the water dispensor to see if thawed . 4. turn your freezer setting to a lower temperature ! to keep this from happening again .

Why does my maytag fridge drip water around the freezer door?

Freezer door frames have a small heating element in them to stop that happening. Your element is failed.

Torn gasket seals just cause frost inside, but also cause the compressor extra stress if the seal is bad. This causes the compressor to keep running as yours does. They are cheap to buy and easy to fit.

With a 12 year old one, it is probably time for a new one. The new ones are more energy efficient and are cheaper to run.

WATER QUIT RUNNING IN DOOR

Okay. My appliance is around four years old. The first time the water quit working was about a year ago (ice cubes / dispenser was fine). I just let it go and didn't worry about it. One day months later, I found it functional again. That lasted about a month or two, then it recently quit again. Tonight, I located the water supply line coupling under the unit on the left side under the freezer door, about five inches from the hinge. I separated the coupling (push lock type) and pressed the water dispenser lever. After a few seconds, the water flowed out just fine. I re-attached the coupling, turned the freezer coldness selector to 0 (off) opened the freezer door and fetched my wife's blow dryer. I ran the dryer along the inside of the freezer door near the black door seal frrom the hinge up to the water/ice dispencer compartment. I also ran it all along the back of the dispenseer compartment to the handle side of the door as I am unsure of where the water line runs. After about ten minutes of this, I attempted to dispense water with no luck. I continued with the blow dryer until the plastic and even the door seal were very warm to the touch. I closed the door and attempted to dispense water once again, and this time it worked. I turned the coldness selector back on. This time I set the freezer to 3 and the fridge to 7. I ran several cups of water through the dispenser since it's been sitting in the line for a while before drinking any. As for the "reservoir," I don't where or if one exists, but heating up the inside of the door from hinge to dispenser worked perfectly. Hope this helps someone!

Cheers!
