Try these following steps:1. Look to see whether the thread loopsappear on the fabric back side. If this is the case, the tension on your sewingmachine is too loose.2. Check to see if your fabric ispuckering on the front side when you sew. If this happens, then your tension istoo tight.3. Adjust your needle thread tensionwith your machine threaded and your presser foot pedal down.4. Turn your thread tension dial asneeded. If you increase the number on your tension thread dial, you will beincreasing the tension on your sewing machine. If you are lowering the numberon your tension thread dial, you will be decreasing the tension on yourmachine.5. Clean your thread tension with asmall piece of paper or a toothpick. Slide the toothpick or paper between thediscs to remove any tangles of thread.Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

Stitches to loose

You need to tighten the bottom and top stitches both. First, tighten the bobbin slightly. Now, tighten the top stitches the same amount of pressure as the bobbin. The attempt is to have both the bottom and top stitches exactly the same so the final stitch ends up in the center of the fabric. Observe the stitch and readjust if necessary.

What adjustment do you need to make when the bobbin is throwing too much thread out.

Your tension is is too loose somewhere I guess, so will need tightening. Tighten the upper tension first to see if that helps before tackling the spring on the bobbin. If you need to tighten the spring on the bobbin then do it in tiny increments and remember where you started. Try taking out the bobbin and gently pulling by hand the thread from it; it should have a slightly tight feel on the correct tension..

How do you tighten the tension for the thread?

Top tension on most machine is adjusted by turning a tension knob in front of two discs this holds the thread tight. bottom tension is uasually adjusted by turning a very small screw on the bobbin case were the thread comes out from under.

When moving top tension thread not tightening.

Raise the presser foot and pull the thread through at the needle.

Re-set the tension to mid-range.

If this does not work, then tension control needs a new spring or the control needs to be replaced.
