Go to teh phone settings, and under sync accounts disable all teh sync accounts that you are not using such as stocks etc. These constantly use up data and hence drains your battery as they do so in teh background. This should greatly improve your battery. If not, your battery must eb damaged and i woudl suggest you purchase an extended battery which may have up to 40% more battery life.

The battery may need to be replaced. Take it to one of your Cellular Provider's stores and have them check the battery.

After fully charged battery power lasted about 20 minutes.

Since it's brand new, return it. You didn't say what type of tablet it is, but they should last for many hours on a charge.

My battery keeps dying within 3 hours of taking it of the charger

Hello

I've found using the internet even briefly KILLS your batterys, especially if you do anything that requires streaming data (ie, youtube, streaming radio).

For instance, I listened to SomaFM streaming radio for about 10-15 minutes the other day (without headphones), and the battery went down 10% in that amount of time. You're basically talking 1% per minute when streamin audio. All I know is once this thing becomes a little more capable with streaming, I'm going to need to get a spare battery or bring my charger to work and just keep it plugged in.

Even worse is watching Youtube. I had a bit of downtime at work and watched 3-4 Bill Maher clips on youtube (this time with headphones). Over a period of 20-30 minutes, my battery went from 85-95% to 25%. It basically kills your battery, so be carefuly with youtube.

When I use my call normally for texts, emails, and calls it seems to hold a charge no problem. Especially when I consider that my brand new FULLY-charged laptop only lasts about 2 hours when
I'm using it for browsing the web.

You could also try disabling Pocketday.

depending on the size of the battery, it can take upto 20 hrs to correctly recharge a lithium battery.
Leave the unit on charge overnight and if it still reads as low battery, return the unit to the place of purchase.

How many hours to charge a new acer 4738?, mine is too long to charge, is it natural if new?

A brand new battery has to be charged for 8 hours. For any battery related issue, a reset or calibration can be done.Just drain all the charge in the battery by using the laptop only on battery power( ie,with the Charger/Adaptor disconnected). After the comp shuts down due to no power, then charge the battery for 8-10 hours and then check if its fully getting charged or not
At times a BIOS update can fix battery related issues.

Work out how long my battery will last using a

Your said your battery is rated for 85 amps / hour. This means 1 hour at 85 amps, 42 hours at 2 amps, 85 hours at 1 amp or any number of hours in between determined by 85 divided by the number of amps of the load connected. The microwave uses 600 watts. Since we can't reliably determine amps in an AC circuit - I can get close using the DC calculation. I'll assume 120 Volts at 600 watts for the microwave. Watts = Volts multiplied by Amps, so the microwave uses about 5 amps (120 x 5 = 600). HOWEVER, this is not an accurate way to determine AC amps when voltage and watts are known. I'll bet the microwave has the actual amount of amps (along with the model, voltage, wattage etc.) on a label on the back, side or inside the door. This is the information that is accurate. Use the amp rating provided on the name plate to determine how long the batter will last. Assume 8.5 amps is the value provided on the name plate.. 85 amp hour (85 AH) battery would supply an 8.5 amp (8.5 A) load for 10 hours because: 85 AH divided by 8.5 A = 10 H. The quality of the battery, and the losses contributed by the inverter will reduce the actual amount of time that the battery could supply the microwave.

I hope this helps!

Battery only charges upto 7%

Chances are the battery itself has been damaged. These batteries have several cells linked together, and if any of the cells fail then capacity drops accordingly. You may want to look to replacing the battery.

Battery won't charge.

hello,

normally many cell phones requires 6-10hrs for its batter to fully charge up. also i have seen it where battery can be brand new but doesn't have enough juice to hold the charge.
now as far as red light on charger, remember even if you have 99% charged batter and you plug in the charger it will show you red light on phone/cradle.

FYI- all brand new phones are covered with 30 days of warranty replacement with new phone. after 30 days it covers upto 1 year from the date of purchase with refurbished phones.

In your case i think it is just the battery, try having your provider replacing new battery if no luck again then my suggestion will be to replace your phone with new battery with in 30 days.

TY

Acer N30 battery problem (even new battery does not last enough)

try checking your power saving options, you can drop down the backlight a little lower to extend battery life. Also you can lower down the volume of the system sound and check if the bluetooth is on, then turn it off. Recharge it and then check if the battery life extends. You also need to occasionally soft-reset the n30
