Question about Kenmore 73502 / 73504 / 73509 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
Two months ago we had to replace the evap fan on our unit and it has been working well ever since.
A few days ago the temperature alarm sounded and when I tried to turn it off I discovered that the control panel appears locked - none of the controls can be changed. It does show that the temperature displays for the refrigerator and freezer change if we open and close the doors, but I cannot change the numbers by pressing on the control panel.
The temperature display indicates that the freezer is operating at 4 degrees and everything is frozen, however, I have noticed that there isn't any visible cold air flowing out of the freezer when I open the door - and this is new. I also feel like the freezer is operating more quiet than normal.
I unplugged the unit for 6 minutes and plugged it back in to see if it would reset, however, the control panel is still not working.
Since we just paid 400.00 to replace the eval fan I would like to try to fix it on my own, any suggestions?
