SOURCE: Changing the DAY on this analog watch.

Turning it backwards didn't work on my watch. I ended up winding the time ahead several days worth to show the right day of the week (being careful to turn it to the correct 9 o'clock of the day, for me is was the first for morning.) Then I could go ahead and change the date using the first click postition of the stem.

I see that light bulb going off and you whispering "why, of course!"

How can I change the day on the watch (timex model T2E581). I am able to change the date and time ok, but not the day. Thanks for the help.

When you pull the stem out all the way (two clicks) it should set the time. Pulling the stem out one click you noticed sets the date, you turn it one way for the date and in the same postion you turn it the other way for the day. For some reason on some watches the day will stick, if that still happens you will need to turn the hands around and around until you get to the right day, then keeping in mind the 12 hour interval you are in... set the date and time. If the day still does not change then you need to return the watch if its new or send it to timex! Caution: when sending a watch to Timex sometimes they send back a different watch without asking so if its sentimental do NOT send it to Timex!! Hope this helps! have a great day!

How do I adjust the time and date on my Timex Expedition watch

Hi, the upper of the two watch stems is turned counter clockwise (looking at the stem) until the desired function (i.e., format, date, time, chrono, timer) appears. To set that function, pull the upper stem out and turn CW to advance & CCW to go back. Once hours & minutes are set, the stem can be pushed in upon a mark to start at zero seconds. For the day of the week, turn the upper stem CCW until date appears. Pull out the stem, to detents or positions, and this will allow the day to be adjusted.

Take care

Setting day and date on timex watch

For the analog Timex Indiglo with both day and date (CR 2016 Cell on back) and only the single crown available you must first pull out the stem and turn through the hours 24 at a time to get to the correct day(MON,TUES,etc.). Then you can pull the stem out only half way and set the date (1,2,3,etc.). Be careful to attend to the AM/PM time as you turn the stem for the day. Go too far and the day will change at noon and you have to wind through seven more 24 hours to correct it.

Change day

The trick is to turn the ring to the "Date" setting, Pull the stem out once for the Month and Date. Pull the stem out (hard, but gently) a second time for the Day of the week. Each pull will be confirmed by a 'beep. Be persistent and good luck.
