Question about Schlage FE595VCAM716ACC Camelot Keypad Entry Lever Door Lock Aged Bronze

1 Answer

I need to set/change the code on my Schlage lock but the sticker is completely unreadable.

Bought an old house with a Schlage keyless entry lever on it. I have the key but would love to get the combination pad to work. Also many similar questions on this site refer to here: http://consumer.schlage.com/Service-Support/Pages/InstructionandManuals.aspx which DOES NOT EXSIST anymore (error 404).

I do not believe you will be able to reprogram the lock without the programming code, usually found on the sticker (unreadable, in your case).
Therefore, I urge you to call Schlage directly-they may be able to help you. here is the contact information:

Mouse over the "Service & Support" link, then go down & left click on "Instruction & Manuals". There ya go!

This link will take you to the page you need, to get started:

http://consumer.schlage.com/Service-Support/Pages/InstructionandManuals.aspx

Then scroll down to this heading on that page:

Electronic Security-Keypad Entry Flex-Lock...
There's a wealth of info under that heading. You will be able to see a PDF file of the original print instructions, as well as a video of how to install the lock. This is useful because there should be a sticker to be found on the backside of the keypad, with the code number ( the programming code) that you need to reprogram the lock. This installation video (fourth item down) will be useful to allow you to disassemble it and view the sticker. This is also a great time to change the 9-volt battery! A battery should last about three years under normal usage.
The ninth item under that same header is a video which walks you through how to reprogram the keypad to your new code, using that program code that you found on the backside of the keypad.

A note about the PDF files: If you cannot view a given file, you need to first install Adobe reader. You can get the free download from here:

Good luck--and please provide feedback if this helps!

Programming code will not work

I work for factorylocks.com. We get programing questions all the time for Schlage FE575/595. The factory default programming code and PIN codes are on a sticker stuck to the inside of the front housing of the lock. You will need to take the lock off of the door to see this sticker. Once you have done so, reset the lock back to the factory defaults and reprogram the locks to your settings using the programming instructions you can find here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8BgHP712eg

Schlage keyless lock lost 6 digit code and no sticker inside either

You will need to take the keypad look off of your
door and record the 6 digit programming code and the two factory
default PIN codes. You then need to perform the factory reset to
erase any codes and restore the lock back to the factory defaults.
This procedure is outlined, as well as the programming of the device, in the attached instructions.

I have lost my pc for my schlage door lock. How do I fix that?

No problem!
A quick note: The back plate of the keypad side of the lock on the exterior of the door has a sticker which includes the serial number, six digit programming code and two pre-programmed four digit user codes. The lock must be disassembled to a point the exterior of the lock can be pulled away from the door and the information on the sticker made note of.

There's a wealth of info under that heading. You will be able to see a PDF file of the original print instructions, as well as a video of how to install the lock. This is useful because there should be a sticker to be found on the backside of the keypad, with the code number that you need to reprogram the lock, which i noted above. This installation video (fourth item down) will be useful to allow you to disassemble it and view the sticker. This is also a great time to change the 9-volt battery!
The eighth item under that same header is a video which walks you through how to reprogram the keypad to your new code, using that programming code that you found on the backside of the keypad.
Also, you will find "Keypad Programming Guide", etc. links which are PDF type files, giving you a "picture" of the print instructions.
