Question about Apple iPod nano 3rd Generation
When i put my MP4 player on charge it charges but then when i take it off charge and then switch it on from the top it won't come on. It only works when it's on charge also when I am listening to music the MP4 player altermatically changes the song and goes onto something else.
Sounds like the battery has had it, get the battery changed and go from tgere

I've called Apple support on this before. They told me to make sure that the Ipod is set for Manually manage music in the Ipod settings of ITunes. You should restore all software in your IPod to factory settings before doing this.

SOURCE: mp4 8gb will not stay on.
You can try to update Itunes and Ipod software first and then reset Ipod by preesing down on the center button together with the play button to perform a soft reset.
Thanks and Good Luck! =)

good day, the only possible cause why your player can only power up using it's own charger or through pc connection is:
1) The connection of the rechargeable battery inside the player is loose or out of contact
2) The rechargeable battery itself is faulty
3) The connection from the charging line is loose or out of contact
most likely your problem is within the internal of the unit.
