Question about RCA F20TF10 20" TV

1 Answer

RCA works fine when watching dvd but when cable is hooked up...

I have an RCA F20TF10 20" Tru Flat Guideplus TV and it works fine when watching a dvd but when the cable is hooked up it makes loud popping noises and the screen goes out and comes back on rapidly. I've noticed that it gets worse the longer we have it on, but only when watching cable. It works fine when it is hooked up to our dvd player to watch a dvd. Tried to hook the cable up through the VCR, but the RCA Ports on both the front and back of the tv are not receiving video. I am guessing that the only reason the dvd player will work is because it hooks up through S-video but our dvd player doesn't have a port to hook cable up through. PLEASE HELP!

Hummmm... the YELLOW RCA should be your VIDEO cable and have VIDEO signals.

Are you SURE your TV is set to the CORRECT "INPUT" SETTING? And DO YOU hear and audio>?

RCA #RTS7010B, I'm using an optical line from my TV to my bar, it seems to work fine for Netflix and TV,however when I attend to watch a DVD or Blu-ray it makes a loud humming and chirping noise.

So from the tv there is an optical cble, what is from the dvd? Is there a cable direct from the dvd player or an option for one? What is the blyerau/dvd audio options or settings set to on the dvd ?

That may be where you need to look and confirm.

Buzzing noise on my 42" Vizio

it sounds like an rca (white or red) cAble is not fully inseted, or the audio level of the device making the bad sound is too high and distorting. try checking the red and white cables are fully inserted on both ends. if that fails, try another rca cable.

Rca tru flat tv has a red picture

Is your video input (from cable or satellite or fiber optic, etc.) coming from a coaxial cable, a component cable (red, green, and blue connectors), or an RCA cable (yellow connector for video)?

If you can, try an alternate input method and see if that makes a difference. Does it happen when watching DVDs or tapes, or when playing video games, or just when watching television?

Hooking up DVD/VCR combo to directTV and console RCA

I'd first just hook up the DVD/VCR to the TV and get that working. I'm assuming all you need is the standard cable type connection. This will at least your 4 year old happy. Then you can experiment with the S cable. The S cable will give a cleaner signal from the DVD to the TV. then hook up audio and video cables from the Direct TV to the DVD input. The audio and video will be cleaner using S cables and audio and video cables, but stadard TV cable should get you going. You didn't mention what model DVD player you have. You may have to select the correct inout on the DVD for the Direct TV connection.

Olevia LT27HVX 27 just blue screen

I just had this same problem over the weekend. Is your TV hooked up via HDMI?? Mine was and i've been having problems with the tv image shrinking whenever i turn on the tv, so i would have to change the channel 1 or 2 times for the image to come up normally. On Saturday I went to change the channel and then all of a sudden I hearld this loud pop and when the image came on it was just a sky blue screen, I couldnt see anything, but I could hear the channel. So I disconnected the HDMI and hooked up the tv with component cables I had and now it works fine. I ordered a new HDMI cable just to see if it will work again. If not, i'm calling Olevia.
