How to graph a function
Look for a key labeled Y= ( the y= editor) and press it. Use the key pad to type in the right side of the function.
Press Graph to display the graph.
If drawing is out of range set the window parameters. Alternatively (if there is a zoom key) use it to select a ZoomIn, a ZoomOut , Zoom Standard.

### How do I graph an equation with TI 89?

Just open the Y= equation editor and enter your equation. Use X for T. Make sure the angle unit is in radians.

### Inputting inequality signs in equations on Y= graphing menu.

Choose one of the inequality type graphs by pressing F3 Type. Press F6 for the arrow on the right, you will get the other types For example press F1 to select the Y greater than type graph. Notice that on the top line Graph Func: Y>. From now on all the graphs you will draw will be Y> some function in X.
Start entering the function. As you start the screen will show Y1> Enter the function for example sin(X^2). Use the X, theta, T to input the X variable. Press the EXE key to complete the function line. The screen will look like on the following screen grab Press the F6 key Draw to get your graph and the shaded region, as on the following picture: Jun 22, 2017 | Casio FX-9750GII Graphing Calculator

### What is y+x = -4 , graph and find the y-intercept ?

Hey! The standard equation of a straight line is y=mx+b (wherein x&y are the coordinates, m is the slope of the line and, b is the y-intercept). Re-arranging your equation to follow the standard equation, you'll have y= -x - 4 or y=(-1)x + (-4).

To plot the equation, try substituting a number to the (x) coordinate to get the value of the (y) coordinate:
Ex:
If x=0, y= -4
If x=1, y= -5
If x=2, y= -6
If x=3, y= -7
Assuming you know how to plot these coordinates, you now have a graph of the equation. Hope I answered your query. Thank you.

### I am trying to graph a least-squares line on my TI-84 Plus. I have the numbers correctly plugged into my Stat Edit tables, and I am able to access my linear equation, and the first time I entered my graph...

After you enter the data draw the SCATTER plot first.
When you perform the (linear) regression analysis LineReg, save the regression equation to a function, for example Y1
The syntax is
LineReg L1, L2, Y1 ENTER

From the Stat>CALC menu press LineReg
The command echoes on command line
Press [2nd] to enter the L1 list on command line
Press [,] to separate
Press [2nd] to enter L2 on the command line
Press [,] the comma again
Press [VARS][>][Y-Vars][1~Function][1:Y1] [ENTER]
Press [GRAPH] to have the regression line equation drawn
on the same screen as the Scatter Plot you drew before.

### In my precal class we are studying trigonometry graphing. On my calculator I made 3 lists L1, L2, and L3 when I go to graph and regulate the equation it only regulates the equation for both L1 and L2....

I do not know what you mean by regulate, but if you want to perform a regression analysis using data from L1 and L3, all you have to do is to specify the lists to be used.
For example if you have to perform QuadReg on L1,L3,
1. Press [STAT] button,
2. then Right Arrow to select CALC(ulate)
5. At this point press [SHIFT] to select (L1), then [COMMA], then [SHIFT] to select (L3) , and finally [ENTER].
6. The result will be displayed after regression is performed.
7. If you want to save the regression equation in Y1 so as to graph it over the scatter plot you enter QuadReg L1, L3, Y1 [ENTER]

### How to graph linear equation in two variables

I am not quite sure what you are asking...

(1) if asking for graphing y= -2/3x+2, then press [diamond] [F1: Y=] type in .2/3x +2, see graph by [diamond][graph]

(2) if asking for graphing y= -2/3x+a, where a=3x, then first archive a=3x in Home screen by [home], type 3x [sto] a, then go back to y= menu, and type -2/3x+a in Y1

(3) if asking for graphing an equation that is dependent on 2 variables at the same time, use x-y-z axis (aka, change mode to graphing 3-D by [mode]graph [5:3D]) then enter desired equation in y= menu using Z function in terms of x and y aka z(x,y)= ...)

### Graphing

The first solution will allow you to watch your calculator graph two equations simultaneously rather than finishing one before graphing the next; it won't solve the problem of having the calculator unselect one equation when you select a second. To fix that problem, try the following:

In order to select additional graphs, the Transformation Graphing App will need to be uninstalled from the TI-83 Plus Family and TI-84 Plus Family. Uninstalling the App does not erase it from the calculator, it disables it from interfering with the normal graphing modes. Below are the steps to successfully uninstall the App.
• Press [APPS] key
• Select Transfrm from the menu
• Press 1:Uninstall
