Remove hard drive cover, memory cover and modem cover from the bottom of the notebook. Each cover is secured by one screw.

Here’s how you can remove the hard drive. Remove four screws securing the hard drive caddy to the base assembly. Slide the hard drive down to disconnect it from the motherboard. Lift up and remove the hard drive.

Removing memory modules (if needed). Carefully spread latches on both sides of the memory slot. The memory module will pop up at 30 degree angle. Pull the memory module from the slot by the edges.
Removing modem card (if needed). Remove two screws securing the modem card. Lift up the modem card to disconnect it from the motherboard and unplug cable from the side.

Hope this Helps

SOURCE: Sony vaio cpu is makes a lot of noise

this is a followup to my September 27 2008 posting, and represents the solution for me. I tried replacing the CPU fan and heatsink and used the best thermal compound. This reduced the fan noise a bit, but under heavy loading the CPU still overheats with the same result as before. Since the motherboard does not support upgrading to a more powerful dual core processor, my final solution was to buy a much more powerful laptop computer that makes no noise and can be easily moved anywhere in my home (I added a WIFI local network). I still use the older computer for some tasks, but I moved it out of the family room, so it would no longer bother us.

Sony vaio pcv 6603 driver

There are usually two numbers that Sony uses, one internally and one for martketing, If you look on your machine you should find a different number to search the Sony.com support site for. In your case I think your other number is PCV-V1 and it is a European model, which isn't found on the US site. Here is a link to the UK site downloads and software for this machine http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/pcv-v1
So the general advice is; go to the company's Support/Downloads/Drivers site for the country or region you purchased it in, and if one model number doesn't work, then look for another model number on your machine

Does my sony vaio pcv-rz50cg have pci express slot?

From the information available on the Sony eSupport web site for this discontinued model of Sony Vaio, it seems unlikely that it would have a pci express slot given the model dates back to around 2004 and may not have any free expansion card slots depending on the exact multimedia options that are installed.
