The oven uses a silicone carbide ignitor which requires 3.6 amps or better to open the gas safety valve.
If you don't see any glow from it then it is either blown or the gas valve has gone bad. If it is glowing but not real bright it probably is weak.

if this is a new stove need to change the pin in the regulator ,
then need to replace the stove top orifices from gas to l.p.
check under the stove for pieces they tape them under there by the regulator -- that how i found mine under my new jenn air

I have a GE Gas Stove XL44 the stove top buners don't light by themselves without manual lighting. When I turn on the buner knob the buner doesn't click. Also I used my self- cleaning oven for the first time and stopped it before the time was up after that is when the stove top buners wouldn't light by theirselves.

How can I stop the "probe" and "bake" light from flashing? I have tried pushing the clear/off button. I turned on the oven yesterday, not using the probe, and the probe light kept flashing. I pushed the clear/off button several times and it stopped. Today I came home from work and the "probe" and "bake" lights are flashing simultaneously. I tried pushing the clear/off button several times. It went off for a few seconds and came back on. I pushed the probe button then the clear button. Both come right back on. What are a few more things I can try?

It says this item is no longer available. This stove came with my house. I need to know if I can leave the racks in the oven when I am self-cleaning it?

no, it says to take out,ive also heard you are better off cleaning it your self.the oven can get so hot that it burns the wires and can also shatter the glass. hope it helps. ive used mine before i heard this and was not impressed with the results anyways.
