Tip

Make single edge razor blades shaves smoother and last longer!

If you shave with a single edge blade, add a few drops of liquid soap onto the Hot blade edge,"Before you shave." After shaving and before storing, Rinse and clean the razor with hot water and shake dry!
It will be good for many, many shaves.

Any special tips for shaving underarms?

1. My best tip is that you should wet your underarms properly so that the skin is soft and the hair follicles are loosened.

2. Shave in the opposite direction to hair growth.

3. Make sure your blade is sharp and not dull as this can lead to bumps on the skin.

This is the first time I am shaving with an electric shaver, is there anything I need to know?

If your switching to electric shaver or it is the first time you shave you will need to give your face three weeks to adjust to electric shavers. Try not to fluctuate back and forth between blade shaving and electric shaving during the first three weeks.

It's not cutting anymore, my husband greased it and cleaned it but it's not cutting, barely grazes the top. how do I know if the blades are sharp anymore. we have only used it 2-3 times on our cocker...

If you have another clipper, you can test the blades out on them to see if your blades are sharp. As for the blades not cutting on your clipper it could be a couple things. Your blade drive could be worn and not allowing the cutter blade to travel far enough each way to make a clean cut. Another thing to check is that your blade latch is not broken. This is the black hook by the blade drive on the clipper. If the blade latch is broke, the blade won't stay tight up on the clipper. Thus the blade will act like it is dull.

How many times can I use one blade?

This depends greatly on the individual and the thickness or coarseness of the hair. Some prefer to change a blade after using it once or twice, others after 3 or 4 times while many expect between 5 to 7 uses.

The key is to change it regularly and always use a sharp blade. If you feel it dragging on your skin it's time to change it!

What is wet shaving?

Wet shaving at its simplest, is just that - shaving with water, a razor blade, and some sort of lubricant (lather, soap, etc.) on your face. Men have shaved this way for centuries, starting early on with a sharp knife or stone, progressing to the straight razor, safety (double-edge) razors, and eventually cartridge razors from companies like Gillette, etc.

My andis trimmer is not giving a very close shave. I like to have sharp line-ups. How do I fix it? I'm not sure of the model, but I'm using the website where I bought it as reference(...

This Andis model is not very good for shaving,I purchase one before didn't do the job. I recommend The Andis GTO you can have it sharpen and adjusted to shave. check out www.mannys-sharpening.com I had purchase my Andis T-outliner service and adjust for shaving. The good thing about manny's sharpening when you purchase Andis T-Outliner he will ask you how would you like your trimmer set at' for line ups or Fade cuts or Shaving set. he resharpen the blade and make sure the trimmer is adjust power and set blade and trimmer too your request. You may pay a little more but it's worth it. Oh one more thing about his service and warranty after 3 month he gives you a free sharpening and service on the Andis trimmer you purchase from him. You only paid for return shipping. I try his service and this guy is good in sharpening and repair. I hope this was help for Tim
