Turn the dial to the off position. Hold down both the delayed start and spin select buttons and turn dial to the left one click (cold position). you should then here the door unlatch. let go of the buttons. you will see some other codes p 01, p 02. turn dial to off. it should work fine after this. it worked for me. this should be in the manual.

The manual with our Bosch washer is for both 300/500 series. After trying solutions for the 300 series, which did not work, this solution worked the first time (after several hours of trying other methods). Thanks!

Thanks this worked! But at first the Start button wasn't working, so I pressed other buttons and the display cycled to P:02, P:03, and I was afraid I reprogrammed something. Is that possible? Is there a way to reset to factor defaults if so?

E27 Is a door lock error code try unplugging the unit for 7 minutes to see if the error code will be corrected if the error does not go away by doing this you will most likely have to replace the door lock assembly on the unit. If you have any further questions message me back
Thank you

SOURCE: bosch nexxt series 500. error eo4

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old
man who has been making his own repairs for about
50 years. Therefore the washer or dryer ID doesn't
mean much to me. I came to fixya looking for a
schematic for an really old AM/FM radio and
discovered that more than 4,700 people were asking
for help with a washer repair. I recently had a washer
repair of my own and found an excellent video which
showed me how to take my machine apart. This
video made it possible for me to do my own repair. I
was so impressed with the video that when I saw all
these people needing help, I wanted to tell them
about it. If you have a top loader (washer) of the
direct drive type, this video might be a Godsend for
you. If you look at the back of your washer and the
panel is solid (no small inspection plate to remove)
chances are you have a direct drive and this video
is just what you need. You can see this video at
www.acmehowto.com You will probably need
more help in determining what the problem is and
how to fix it. If your repair problem is a washer or
dryer I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com
where they have very good trouble shooting and
repair information on most washers and dryers.
I think you'll find what you need there. Don't worry
about the timer, they hardly ever go bad. Good
luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my
advice on fixya.

SOURCE: Bosch Washer flashing E:

John-I have the same problem. I called service, they told me to unplug it (or turn off the breaker) for 30 mins, then turn back on. That should reset it. However, for me, it didn't do a thing. He said if that didn't work it's time for a service call.

SOURCE: can you tell me where the emergency latch is to

Hi, the emergency latch release is behind the small round panel below the main tub door. A string will be threaded through the pump housing and you just need to pull it to open the main door. To open the access door ( small round panel ) you'll require a small round needle shaped object or really narrow screwdriver. Put it in the small hole in the panel push in slightly and turn to about 6 o'clock...clockwise that is. The small round cover should now come off and expose the pump with the string going through a hook on the pump housing. Let me know how you make out and also if you require further assistance with this problem. Good luck. Macmarkus :)

SOURCE: Bosch 500 washer won't finish rinse cycle. Flashing error code13

Timed out on drain cycle, basically you either have an outlet blockage or something is trapped in the pump, you can check the pump by opening the bottom right flap on the front panel, manually emptying the w/m and checking the pump filter for coins etc. Also, check the outlet isn't blocked.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: Bosch 500 series washer E:27 error code?

E27 means there is a problem with the door lock. Unplug the machine for 5 minutes and try again. If the error code returns you will need to replace the door lock assembly.

Error code E:13 on my 500 plus series washer

Hi,
The E13 error code on your Bosch washer refer to a drainage problem or the pump time might have been exceeded
Either it might be due to a clogged pump, improper detergent being used, ( must use "HE" detergent ) hence suds not allowing a proper drain cycle. You should clean water drainage pipe and/or drain hose. Turn selector to off and restart 'drain, program or, on 500 plus machines, the 'refresh' program. It also says this is caused by using too much detergent. Bosch recommends using half of what the manufacturer recommends when using HE detergents. They don't recommend regular detergents. First run the short wash or refresh cycle without detergent and hopefully your lines will clear.

Thank you !!
