Denon AVR 4306 - setup: all components are connected thru HDMI
Issue: audio is not working anymore including the headset funtion
This is an idication of a digital board problem or a switching IC on the input board. I work at an authorized Denon service center and work on a lot of these receivers. The more common problem is the digital board.
All of the audio goes into and out of the digital board. if the amplifier was not working properly, it would go into protect and shut down most of the time.
You can try this factory reset to see if it helps, sometimes it does but you would need to set up everything again. at this point you have nothing to lose.
1. PUSH POWER SWITCH OFF.
2. WHILE HOLDING THE FOLLOWING KEYS DOWN together at the same time (Pure direct and Direct), TURN POWER SWITCH ON. Hold the two buttons down until you see all the display segments light up and flash at least 2 times, then let go of those 2 buttons. Try this with the main power button if it does not work with the smaller power button.
If this does not work for you, you need to have it serviced. I could give you the part number for the digital board, but it is exspensive and if it is not the problem you would have wasted a lot of money. There is no way to determain exactly what the cause is with out troublshooting it with the proper tools.
let me know if I can be any more help to you.
