Question about Dogs

My dog chews just about everything. Can anyone suggest what kind of bed I should buy him? My concern is spending a lot of money on something he will quickly damage.

It depends on your dog I have an 8 year old bulldog(it's not a puppy thing) that destroyed every chew proof & indestructible bed.....he just didn't want to be alone a little spiteful.

Chewing/eating non food items could be a condition called "pica". There are various potential causes but the main seems to be anxiety. See about getting some prozac from ur vet
Did wonders for our dog. Ate beds, toys, rocks, shoes, etc. After prozac for 3 days would only chew toys specific for him.

Every time your dog chews something in front of you, then muzzle him for about half an hour! The dog will soon get the message. Dogs are not keen on muzzles, so give it a try!

I have a 2004 Canyon. The blower is not blowing air on the driver's side front window. The dealership and taken everything apart and has said the last resort is a 8-9 hour tearing the whole thing...

Could be something stuck in the vent. Check the vent passage way for a blockage. I wouldn't spend that kind of money if everything works good except the one vent. There has to be something blocking the air from coming out of the vent

How to select the perfect bed for your dog

Finding the right bed for your dog may seem like a simple task; however many people will suggest otherwise. There are many factors to consider when selecting a bed for your dog, including comfort, ease to clean, resistance to odor, size and price. When you are buying a bed for either yourself or a child, what factors are you taking into consideration - now think about the comfort of your dog and keep the same criteria in mind. That being said, I will give you a few tips to help in your search for the perfect bed for your dog.

Notice how above the last characteristic I mentioned was price? Well, that should be one of the last considerations. First you should focus on comfort. Dogs spend over 50% of the day in their beds and need it to be a place where they can relax. In regards to selecting a comfortable bed, you need to consider the way in which your dog sleeps. Does your dog sprawl out or sleep in a ball? You will need to consider this when selecting a bed. The size of bed you choose is extremely important. Make sure you buy a bed that is slightly larger than your dog. Like us, dogs need space in their beds to stretch their legs out.

Next you should consider the material of the bed. Look for a sturdy material that cannot be ripped or consumed by your dog. You may want a bed with a removable cover or a bed that is machine washable. This way it will be less of a hassle to clean.

I will finish by leaving you with an article I found on eBay that I found very helpful in finding the right size bed for my dogs. Hope that you found this helpful!

http://reviews.ebay.com/Choosing-the-right-dog-bed?ugid=10000000013754001

Do I need to buy a chew toy for my new cat?

That's agood question. I have seen chewing toys available at cat shops but in generalcats are more into scratching than chewing. Kittens might enjoy a chew toy butit really depends on the cat. Don't spend a lot on those kind of toys unlessyou see that your cat is really into chewing.

What are some benefits to getting a dog bed?

Ok, so there are several benefits to getting a dog bed for your pet. Firstly, like humans, it is important to have your own space. A dog bed will provide your dog with a sense of security. Most beds also protect your dogs' joints and bones with extra cushioning. With a bed of their own, dogs will be less likely to jump up and down from other furniture, in turn preventing possible injuries.

Can I use a baby playpen for a dog?

Technically, you could use a baby playpen but I don'trecommend it. Baby playpens tend to besmall and dogs need to move around a lot. If you don't have a lot of room, I suggest just keeping your dog in astandard crate because they generally cost much less money. Also, dogs love to chew the mesh in babyplaypens and I'm not sure how long it will withstand your dog.
