Where can I obtain 23mm spring pins for Luminox 6402?

Many replacement watch bands come with a set of replacement spring bars. In addition, just about any place that change watch bands for customers--whether it's a jewelry store, a watch battery & band kiosk in a shopping mall, or possibly even a department store jewelry counter--also carries an assortment of spare spring bars for those times when the person changing the band drops or breaks a spring bar. These are inexpensive components, and you should not be charged much (if anything) for a replacement spring bar if you bring your watch to one of these places.

In the jewelry supply and wholesale trade, spring bars are sold in bulk, either in one size or as part of a larger assortment. I buy my spring bars in increments of 100. I have never seen a way to buy a single spring bar (or pair of spring bars) except from a retail operation.

My Nixon Rotolog Leather watch broke at where the leather meets the watch. The bar keeping it together broke. I need a new bar in order to keep the watch together.

This is called spring bar or spring pin. You can buy these on ebay. Make sure you get the right size. The distance between watch lugs is the right size. Measurement must be taken in mm.

How do I remove links from a Seiko watch band?

Follow these steps and it will help u resize your watch.
1-Take a good look at the watch bracelet. Seiko watch bands are equipped with one of two different types of pins holding the links in place. One type is a simple, nail-shaped pushpin that's inserted into the joint between two links. The second is a flat, L-shaped piece of metal that slides into the center of a link and locks it into place. Both pins are removed using the same process. If the nail-shaped pushpin is present, you'll see the tiny screw heads in the joints. If the L-shaped pin is present, the links will be open-sided and you'll be able to see a strip of metal inserted in each links.
2-
Look for the arrows on the inside of the watch bracelet links. The arrows indicate the direction the pins and links need to be slid off of the band. Any attempt to go against the arrows could break or warp the links.
3-Remove the spring bar from the clasp with the small pin-removal tool. Set the watch up on it's side so that the top of the spring bar is facing up and the bottom is flush against the table. Put moderate pressure on the top of the spring bar and tilt the watch just a bit sideways so that the spring bar can slide out. Ease out the bar slowly and carefully; the spring bar is spring-loaded and will shoot away from the watch if you're not careful (make sure that the bottom of the watch is pointed away from you at all times). Put the spring bar in a small dish so it doesn't get lost.
4-Line up a small pin-removal tool with the top of the pin and push in the direction of the arrow until it slides out completely. Slide off the link. Place the pin and the link in the small dish. You'll want to save them in case the watch needs to be re-sized again at a later date. Continue removing links, alternating sides of the band to keep it even, until the watch reaches the desired size.
5-Reconnect the watch. On the side opposite where the spring bar was removed, line up the link connected to the clasp and the second link on the band. Slide the pin in the opposite direction of the arrow, using a flat-headed pin inserter to push it into the joint. Use the pin-removal tool to give it a final push, listening for the click.
6-
Reinsert the spring bar slowly, using the pin inserter. Make sure the spring bar is lined up and tightly in place to avoid injury.
Try this and it you cant manage it then you need to get it to a watch repair shop specializing in that brand.

I want to shorten my watch band on my new Casio MTG900DA-8WC It has a metal band

Hi,
In order to remove the links of your Mtg930 watch you will need a couple of tools . It is recommended to have a watch pin pusher and a spring bar remover tool in order to do so. If you do not you can use a small precision flat head screw driver , the size that is usually used to fix glasses or smaller.

First you need to lay a cloth down at a table . Lay the watch on top of cloth to prevent scratching . flip the watch upside down and have a good at the back of the watch bracelet.

If you look carefully you are going to see notches on the back of each link with an arrow pointing in. This is where the spring bars are accessible and can be pushed in to remove the link.

You need to place your spring bar remover, pin pusher or precision screw drive in the notch against the edge.

Mean while push the opposite side of the watch link up so you can see the most of the spring bar inside the notch.

The spring bar is going to look like a pink with a notch on the the top then gets smaller. As shown below on the left side of the picture. If you are looking at the notch on the spring bar, that is where you need to get our tool ontop of . So you can push down the spring bar.

Once you push down on that notch on the spring bar the link will be able to slip out . Without a spring bar remover it will be more difficult and you will need to be patient as you try to work your flat head screw driver into the notch and be able to push down . Once the pin is push down you need to pull the link from the rest of the bracelet.

Do not be surprised to take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes if you have no experience and not have a spring bar remover.

Once you removed all the links you desire , You will need to put the spring bars back into the links and close the watch bracelet up.

The easiest way is to slip spring bar into middle of link. Bring the other end of the bracelet over so it the bottom covers the other link with the spring bar head out. Push the spring bar down with your tool as you slide the links back together.

Unclear as to how you adjust the rubber band strap

  1. Remove the deployant clasp from the watchband. The clasp is attached using spring bars on each end of the clasp. The method of spring bar removal varies but is usually performed by pushing a small pointed tool (one end of a spring bar tool) into a hole at the end of the clasp. While depressing the spring rod, pull the buckle away from the bracelet to detach. Repeat this for both sides of the buckle.
  2. Step 2 Measure the watchband to determine proper sizing. Use the scissors to cut along the inner grooves to remove needed sections (each section of the rubber will contain a new set of holes for the bracelet spring bars). Cut carefully and conservatively, as this step cannot be undone.
  3. Step 3 Reattach the buckle to the band after resizing. Reverse Step 1, pushing the spring bar in while sliding the buckle back into place.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });

I NEED A NEW PIN FOR THE g952906 mens watch.

Yes, you can buy them on eBay. They ate called spring bars or spring loaded pins. All you have to do is to measure the distance between lugs on watch (the place where the band is attached to the watch). This will be exact spring bar size you are after.

Rate, please.

Buy and replace new watch band ?

I just replaced the band on a women's ironman watch, so I know it is tricky, but can be done. First remove the old band using a small flat blade screwdriver and determine that the spring bars that came with the new band are the right size by comparing with the old ones. My new ones were too large. Then, use a pen to make marks on the back of the watch case in alignment with the spring pin holes . Put a spring pin into the band and position the band on the watch the way it will be attached, with the pin just above the marks. Use the small flat blade screwdriver to insert one of the spring bars into its hole and align the other side of the spring bar with its mark on the case. Compress the spring bar and slide it down until it roughly aligns with its hole, then, push the band sideways toward the hole and wiggle the band until the pin seats. Apparently the hole alignment is very tight and, without that last step, the pin simply will not seat. After spending a lot of time with the first strap, locating the spring pin hole by trial and error, I used a magnifying light for the second strap to allow me to see the spring bar hole, making the process a lot faster.
