Question about Cuisinart DLC-8S Pro Custom Food Processor
How do Ireplace the spindle on Cuisinart DLC-7 Food Processor
You need to pull the old one off, probably with vise grips and a lot of effort, and then order a new one. The new one is a tiny bit larger, so you'll probably need to order new blades, too. The new one slips right on, so there's no issue that would be the reverse of removing the old one. I read somewhere else that you have to pound hard to get the new one on, but that guy must have been speaking about the older model spindles. I was perplexed that the new one slipped right on so I pounded it to be sure and ended up breaking the tip of the new spindle and cracking the housing of the whole processor.

Did you contact Cuisinart? I just sent my DLC-7 to Cuisinart for repair. The start switch does not latch and works as a pulse switch.
