Question about HHB BurnIt CDR830 CD Recorder

Open Question

Wher can I buy the Laser Unit of the HHB? It is a Pioneer KSR 220A?

The Cr recoreder does not recognize any CD put into it. The technician that opened it told me that the Laser Unit was corroded and it has to be replaced. Where can I buy a replacement for this Unit - a Pioneer KRS 220A?

Denon DCM 450 It pulls the CD out of the cartridge. Some times it will play it and sometimes not. I have been told the laser is probably dirty and not reading the CD. How do I correct the problem

This not a fault with its laser pickup unit. Is the fault with its disc loading mechanism. The disc do not loads properly into position. Might be a loose belt problem, of a broken gear wheel problem. Anyway, you have to take out the mechanism from the unit for repair, and it is a skilled work. I advice you to contact any service technician in the case. Cd player not recognized

If the CD drive icon shows up in My Computer then it may just have a dirty laser lens.
That means you have to remove the drive, take it apart and clean the lens.
If it does'nt show up in My Computer then you can restore it with a bit of help from Microsoft. Click the link below and read carefully as it requires you to go in to the registry.

My dvd recoreder keeps saying cannot read disk. keeps ejecting disk when ever i insert a disk

get a laser lens cleaning disk .($2 to $10) . it looks like a standard CD but has fine little burshes that remove dust from the laser ...that may not work if anyone smokes around the machne .. in that case the cover has to be removed and the laser manually cleaned (with eye glass cleaning fluid on a soft paper towell) ..if that doesnt work then the laser may be just worn out ... replacement is usually more than the cost of a new unit ... make sure your disks are clean .. you can wash the shiney side with mild soap and water ... rince and pat dry .. dont use hot water ...

CD Stops playing in middle of nowhere

Try cleaning the laser using CD Cleaner, if still won't work. You can cleaning it by your self( if you like !!)

The procedure is:
Open the CD case,by removing all the screw( unplug the power cord first).

After opened, see for the disc unit, it's mechanical unit, try opening it by removing the screw, unplug the driver cable unit and laser pickup ( very thin cables).

Then remove all the mechanical unit from the CD case, now open this unit by removing the top screw, then pull out the Disc Tray by rotating white gear under the tray.

Now you can see the lens, use a clean and soft clothes or cotton buds, use alcohol to clean the lens first, after using alcohol, use dry clothes or cotton buds to wipe it up again until the lens dry.

Resemble all back together and try operate it.

Hope it works!!!

CMT-EH10 CD player does not recognize any disks

try a cleaning if that does not work then if the unit has been dropped laser could have been knocked out of alignment or has reached the end of it's lifetime. You didn't tell me how old the unit was I've had CD players
that only lasted as little as 11 months and the reader go bad. anyway try the cleaning first and if that don't work
I would look for another unit.

Does not recognize any cds

Insert a CD that has writing on the top, noting which way the lettering is facing. Close the drawer. Wait a few seconds. Open the drawer.
If the lettering still is facing the same way, the disk did not "spin".
So, the motor that spins the disk is dead. Replace the CD/DVD unit.

If the disk does spin, then the laser inside the unit has failed. Replace the CD/DVD unit.

The CD player does not work

It sounds like a mis-aligned laser or faulty laser unit. Either way unless you have experience of fixings cd players yourself its a job for the technicians. Good luck.

With the power turned off, open the lid and then open the hatch where you put the DVD into. Locate the laser lens and notice that the laser lens is attached to an assembly that moves diagonally outward in a slot. First, slide this assembly outward. Second, slide it back inward. Now repeat, slide out then back in. Next, put in a music CD and let it play all the way through. (This re-calibrates the laser head assembly movement.) When the music CD is done playing, put in a DVD, you'll have a working unit again. I had to do it twice...
